Saul Alinsky Takes the White House
The American Spectator ^ | 11.6.08 | Quin Hillyer

Posted on 11/06/2008 4:54:00 AM PST by vietvet67

Conservatives may not realize just how difficult it might be to recover from this week's elections.

The day after the big defeat, the conservative chatter everywhere was about how the "movement" and the Republican Party (two different things) could finally unshackle themselves from the bad old habits that brought them down, and about how the ability to draw a sharp contrast with the Obama/Pelosi/Reid triumvirate would allow us to focus attention, rally the faithful, and re-storm the castle in 2010 and 2012.

Fat chance.

Too many conservatives think we've seen all this before -- in 1964 and 1974 and 1992 -- and that we know how to handle it. Fly, meet ointment: We're not dealing with the same sorts of opponents. These New Alinskyites who are taking over the White House, combined with the most leftist congressional leadership in memory, will not let us play by the same rules under which conservatives recovered from those earlier debacles. They will try to drastically tilt the playing field, seed our side of the field with land mines and, in short, rig the process to make it next to impossible for the political right, or Republicans, to recover. And they are likely to succeed in at least some of these designs.

It will begin with their efforts to secure a filibuster-proof majority of 60 senators (including the two independents). Right now the libs (and yes, all the Democratic senators, with the possible exception of Nebraska's Ben Nelson, are libs) have 56, with three Republican moderates and one conservative leading their races but awaiting recounts or runoffs. Watch for the Alinskyites to try stealing all four, and to succeed in at least two. We've seen this game before. They did it in Indiana's "Bloody Eighth" congressional district in 1984.

I agree. I’m only holding off the sense of impending doom with now by piling named dread on top of unnamed dread in order to form a dike. We will probably NEVER recover from the damage Citizen of the World Obama will be able to wreak in 4 years via the UN.

I keep saying this, for some unknown reason the GOP didn’t want anything to do with ‘08. Hussein and Nancy will have this country in ruin within the first two years just in time for the midterms. There will still be those who have drunk too much koolaid by ‘12 but I feel most will have awaken from their zombie adoration. If there is a country left to save, the conservatives will come out ahead in four years if not sooner.

And, always, a few carefully calibrated street demonstrations, splashed with just the right headlines across the East Coast newspapers and captured by just the right camera angle on CBS News, will be used any time, on any issue, to make the point that civil unrest would be the price of resistance to the benevolent desires of the Obama regime.

Then we must create our own civil unrest.

But I have been thinking it might not be too hard. Even the MSM may not be able to cover up the total incompetence. The coming Crat freak show should be hilarious.

Would you care to speculate? I’ve heard this from several people I respect- an inkling or feeling rather than a reasoned perception- but I it interesting.

There is far too much of a concillatory tone in so-called conservative circles and media. Anytime I hear someone in the so-called conservative media congratulate Obama on a well-run campaign, I know they truly don’t understand the magnitude of what has just occured. The gays are marching in the street over Proposition 8, but what about those of us who realize that the Weather Underground has just conquered our nation? What should we do? I am just hunkering down, stocking up on canned goods & ammunition and not turning on the TV. I certainly don’t feel any need to reach out to the idiots who just let a Communist take over our country.

Conservativism and by extension the Republican Party were basically out of the race the day X% of the electorate was removed from the tax rolls and the rest of the nitwits who have been convinced that they have a right to anything.

Marx -> Gramsci -> Alinsky -> Ayers -> Obama

Barack Obama is the most successful communist mole in history. There is nobody in second place. Kim Philby was a nothing compared to this disaster.

Obama's mentor on politics and patriotism, the communist and terrorist Bill Ayers.

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”

~~Marcus Tullius Cicero

No, he mispoke. He really meant to say it’s his job to make the Obama presidency APPEAR to be successful.

If the definition of Christian is "attends church", then the number may be accurate.

Regenerated believers percentage is much lower. Single digits.

Dark days ahead for them.

The operative word in your statement is “should”.

The coming wave of insanity will be portrayed and in ALL media as what IS normal. I believe that as a result of the victories of Prop 8 and Amendment 2 in Florida, a new Constitutional Amendment will be put forward and pushed HARD. They will carry on this attack until with the worst possible smear and slime that hell can dredge from its depths.

Obama, with the help of Congress, will, just like Clinton, first attack the military by removing the “Don't Ask, don't Tell” and allow open homosexuality in the military. No question about it.
