** Many Northeastern Catholics don’t like the idea of bringing religion into politics. They’ve absorbed the notion that in public discourse, it’s tacky to talk religion.**
Then they may end up with ‘zero’ population in Massachusetts.
There already almost is Zero Population Growth here, what with libs and their desire to not put a 'burden' on the planet by having more than two children, and the homosexuals getting married, and not having ANY.
We, and some other orthodox Catholic friends are making up for it though. We have the smallest family, at 4 children, than many of our friends; one family has 5, another has 6, one has 8, and still another has 9! WooHoo!
All over this country, the conservatives will be slowly gaining on the libs, simply because we tend to have more kids. ;o)
“I think that many of them are aware that 1/3 of their brothers and sisters were killed by their Mothers before they were born.”
I have no doubt that has something to do with it!
Cheers
Mel
It's certainly no fun being guilty ... but forgiveness is available through Jesus Christ. You've hit yet another reason why Catholic Priests and Bishops need to make confession generously available, and frequently encourage the faithful to take advantage of it.
So true....I have a very good friend who was absolutely emotionally devastated by an abortion she had when she was 19. She is now 42 and still battling the effects of that decision.
Bump for later read!
We need to pray and ask for God's help to develop strong Catholic political leaders. We need leaders that
will stand and work for for truth and justice in government just like our founding fathers did when they placed their trust in God's guidance.
We need to criticize the Liberal catholics such as Kennedy, Pelosi who do not follow the teachings of the Church
Thank you Salvation. She has been through Rachel’s Vineyard and now helps with their retreats. She knows God has forgiven her, but I think complete healing (at least in some cases) takes a very long time.
This is what many people who support “choice” don’t understand. They have decided that the babies don’t really matter, but they have no idea what it does to the women and men involved.
Yes. The Lord will allow the truth to become known to all.
We must keep the Faith and encourage and enable the opportunity for adoptions. The Catholic Church should become more proactive in support of families and the adoption process.
When the world learns to follow Jesus rules of “Love God” and “Love Your Neighbor”, then we will begin to solve our problems.
Yeah, let’s hear it from the RCs. You did such a good job in this election. Look to your own house because as a church you have a pretty poor record.
