Honor Roll: Fraxnius, Cindy_True_Suppporter, VictoryNY, USN Retired, Plea deal, VAFlagwaver, Micah and Ben, Lurker Bill
Once again Linus Van Pelt was disappointed. The Great Pumpkin appeared outside the gates of Walter Reed and gave candy away to all the little girls and some boys that passed by.
I couldnt determine if Micah and Ben were embarrassed or were used to their granddads antics.
Lurker Bill came in costume and had a surrender monkey with him as well.
Plea Deal applied he wizardly skills to bring us this weeks photos.
Cindy_True_Supporter passed out Hawaiian Halloween leis to get the rest of us lumps in the spirit.
VictoryNY added the pep and Hip, Hip, Hooray! for the Troops.

BufordP and mgta remind us that our wounded heroes on Friday nights ride ride a big bus to dinner with all the fixins thanks to The Aleethia Foundation. Who is The Aleethia Foundation? Glad you asked :
Just wanted to update you on the Friday Night Steak Dinners for our injured service members recovering at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. As you recall, Hal Koster, former co-owner of Fran OBriens Steak House, started free steak dinners back in October 2003 and in April 2006 the restaurant lost its lease at the Capital Hilton Hotel location. Your group and other military bloggers fought a great battle to assist in getting the word out in hopes to overturn the Hiltons decision and Hal greatly appreciated your efforts.
Hal founded The Aleethia Foundation, a fully volunteer organization (www.aleethia.org) and through many challenges Hal has been able to continue these dinners. Since May 5, 2006, it has been a moveable feast. Several venues including the Capitol Hill Club, City Club, Mortons Army Navy Club, Washington Golf and Country Club have offered space for the dinners. Corporations, AEI, Ambassadors of Italy, Australia, Taiwan, Israel, and many others have sponsor dinners at their facilities. On this Friday, October 17th, we will have our 5th year reunion of the Friday Night Steak Dinners, with many of our first time service members returning to DC.
Now that the American people have decided that their fears about the price of arugula are more important than securing victory in the War on Terror, it is more important than ever to demonstrate our appreciation of the sacrifices that our heroes have made on our behalf. They would sure appreciate it if you could spare a couple of hours on a Friday in the upcoming weeks. We'll be back out at Walter Reed Friday night, November 7 from 6:30 until at least 9:30 at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Elder Street, NW in Washington, D.C.
The wounded warriors inside the hospital are heartened by the sight of ordinary citizens cheering for them and displaying our thanks for the service and sacrifice they've made on our behalf.
Directions to our Walter Reed freep location from the Takoma metro station,.
Thanks to BufordP for Keeping the BIG LIST: All DC Chapter Walter Reed FReeps
Also, Tom the Red hunter reminds:
The good news is that there are fewer troops there than in past years. The reason, of course, is the success of the surge in dampening violence.
This said news is there are still plenty of troops there. Remember that Walter Reed is a rehabilitation facility, so these troops and their families are there for years. We have encountered heaven knows how many who have been there for two or three years with time to go because their injuries are so severe. Many go back home but back to WR for additional surgery or therapy.
THEREFORE, WE STILL NEED DONATIONS
FReepmail Tom the Redhunter for details
Also stop Tom the Redhunter's blog
and PleaDeal's (GunnNutt) blog at Semper Gratus

Oh yeah Mrs T was getting some work done on her shoulder or was it a lift. Anyway thanks for sending Micah and Ben in your place. They done good.
No Bus but Moonbats made it. I didn't post their pics but if you just got to see them go to Plea Deal's Pics
Scary!
Yep, candy for all at Walter Reed. Fraxinus, Cindy_True_Supporter and Lurker Bill gave out the most on their east side of Georgia Avenue. That's where the houses and the kids were. Cindy_True_Supporter said that the parents were surprisingly pleased. On the Walter Reed side of the street, we gave out candy to primarily older recepiants, who were also thankful.
JVB - Thanks for a prompt AAR
[Mr] T

Great costume TR and same to all others. Where was L Bill? Was that really him with a head wrap on?
Lurker Bill - I certainly didn't recognize him, especially with the surrender monkey!
Thanks for all your do every Friday night at Walter Reed. You are all awesome patriots!
Thanks for the kind words. Only BufordP seems to be able to juice up the AAR report. FR used to track views but no more. I believe these reports are still well read, that’s why we post ‘em.
Thanks to both of you. Next time I need to add a few more layers of orange ponchos or get a pic with the lights in front of me. I kinda looked more like an x-ray.
Yes, L. Bill had the head dress on with the surrender monkey. Maybe he should give McCain the monkey.
[Mr] T
