“The onstand in llgy serious candidate ready to challenge to lead the Republican Party is Mitt Romney. He’s in charge on November 5th.”

Yeah Right. If he’s the new face of the Republicans then I’m tearing up my GOP card and go stand in the Obama line and see what crumbs the Dems will drop me.

Sarah, God bless her, may (note may) have actually contributed to the loss in this election. Don’t go selling out McCain and tossing him under the bus. C’mon people.
She was grossly unprepared for this candidacy and like it or not, a lot of people (people you want to drive out of the party) were not impressed with her knowledge of the issues and her preparedness. So all this talk about driving out true, long-standing republicans will actually shoot the party in the foot. Remember, conservatives can never win an election when they inject religion into the equation too much.
BTW - Did you donate $2500 to the Republican Party this year? Remember, money talks and God is also on the side of all men/women (including this Lincoln/Nixon/Reagan/Bush Sr mantra Republican).

Names please. I believe this is a hit on Romney with no substance unless names are given. Heresay doesn’t cut it. The Romney supporters I know of are all strong Palin supporters as well. I’ve never heard anyting negative from them regarding Palin. I have heard complaints that the McCain handlers mishandled the campaign. The same handlers that mishandled the McCain campaign and hindered Palin’s effectiveness are now turning on Romney. These handlers are the enemies within — and their names are?

Romney didn’t make it was because of the MSM. They took him out early.

Romney took himself out. The MSM had nothing to do with his blatantly political flip-flopping on critical issues. His morph from Northeast moderate to staunch conservative standard-bearer was about as convincing as a Lon Chaney Jr. time lapse into the Wolf Man.

You seriously doubt it? He was in charge, right? It was his campaign, wasn't it?

Ever see Twelve O' Clock High"? There's a scene where Gregory Peck sums it all up. "Its always the group commander."

Romney has zero chance to ever get elected.

They need to face it, it will never happen.

As long as Parker is out there spouting the moderate line, it will be easy to tie Romney to it.

Moderates do not have to be invited back in

Romney isn’t running for anyting and won’t. Since you say you “know” then you know how badly McCain’s campaign was run. If there was criticism from the Romney people, it was criticism of the ones running McCain’s campaign that were doing such a horrendous job. The Romney people wanted McCain and Palin to win the election and were frustrated with people who seemed to be working against that.

Can't beat McCain in the primaries, but somehow he could have won the election...yeah that makes lots of sense.

REDSTATE is full of RINO lovers-the blueblood’s home, perhaps?

I went there a few times and was amazed how they belittled real conservatives.

Screw Romney! If he did nothing and knew nothing let him say so. He is a Massachusetts liberal. I trust him like I trust Obama to not raise my taxes. We don’t need him. Palin is the real deal.

Palin was an awful pick.

Did you pick that up from Katie Couric or Keith Olberman?

Secondly, Romney would have won this election. He would have debated rings around Obama, and his financial expertise would have made a very persuasive argument to the undecideds.

Why didn't Romney debate rings around McCain then? It might have actually helped him win the primaries. You really think that being the CEO of an investment banking firm would have helped him in this election? By the time, the Democrats got through with Romney, just about every voter in the country would have had the idea that the entire subprime mess was the sole responsibility of Mitt Romney and Bain Capital.

McCain was an awful candidate, the worst the GOP has had since Bob Dole.

Can't disagree with that statement but Romney wouldn't have been any better and probably would have been worse. Romney couldn't fire up the base and he wouldn't have had Sarah Palin to do so.
