Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger appointed former Los Angeles Mayor James Hahn to the post of Superior Court judge. Details from the governor's statement:

Hahn, 58, of San Pedro, has served as a mediator for the Alternative Resolution Center since January 2008. Prior to that, he worked as managing director for Chadwick, Saylor & Company from 2005 to 2007. Hahn served the city of Los Angeles as mayor from 2001 to 2005, city attorney from 1985 to 2001 and controller from 1981 to 1985. From 1979 to 1981, he was a partner with Horner and Hahn and, from 1975 to 1979, a deputy city attorney in the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office. He earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Pepperdine University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pepperdine University. Hahn fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Wendell Mortimer. Hahn is a Democrat.

Gee, how did 4 Republicans manage to get on the bench ? They need to be replaced by Ah-nold’s Stalinist moonbats at once !

Gee, how did 4 Republicans manage to get on the bench ?

In trying to come up with an answer, consider this: Arnold is a Republican.

;-)

LOL.

I was focused on trying to figure out if Michael Abzug was related to Bella. He did contribute to her last campaign (in 1987). Other than short stints as a public defender and with Kuchel’s old rat-infested law firm, he spent most of his days defending murderers, drug kingpins, extortionists, money-launderers, child molesters, and the like.

Arnie sure can pick ‘em!

Lovely. One thing is for certain. Ah-nold doesn’t know he’s a Republican, either.

BTW, any news on if he was successful in keeping the best Conservative leader in California out of a House seat ? When will we know the final outcome in the 4th ?

There are still lots of ballots to count—I’m not sure how many of those might be in the 4th CD. By some estimates, maybe as many as 40,000. Placer County estimates 13,000 to 16,000 alone (and CD 4 includes several counties). The Sec of State has 35 days to certify the vote. They publish updates everytime a county provides new results.

Statewide, they estimate 3 to 4 million ballots remain to be counted.

Yes. The RINO establishment was backing carpetbagger ex-Congressman liberal Doug Ose for Doolittle’s seat. It’s hard to overstate how much the RINO establishment HATES McClintock and the lengths to which they’ve gone to stop him in efforts to move beyond the legislature (he was set to win statewide office in ‘94 for Comptroller, for example, and Wilson deliberately sandbagged him. He was ignored by Ah-nold when he ran for Lt Governor in ‘06, who was quite happy to see Garamendi win).
