Obama's Pro-Terrorist Code Pink Financier Declares Victory
Wednesday, November 5, 2008 | Kristinn

Jodie Evans, a top financier of the Obama campaign and a co-founder of the pro-terrorist group Code Pink, issued a statement today declaring victory for the "peace movement."

The leftist-led antiwar movement defines peace as America's defeat and withdrawal from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Evans' participation at the top levels of the Obama campaign was ignored by the mainstream media, conservative talk radio, leading bloggers like Michelle Malkin and the McCain campaign, has worked with the terrorists in Iraq and state sponsors of terrorism throughout the war on terror and has publicly expressed sympathy for Osama bin Laden's reason for the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

She and her group market themselves as a feminist peace group in order to mask their communist agenda. The mainstream media, especially Fox News, has studiously ignored the radical agenda of Code Pink. In fact, Fox News has done more to promote Code Pink with by providing more frequent guest spots on the network than any other media outlet.

The failure to identify and make an issue of Obama's alliance with a group that has prolonged the war in Iraq and caused the deaths of thousands of American soldiers by working with the insurgency is one of the great failures of this campaign.

Even when Evans stormed the stage when Sarah Palin gave her acceptance sppech at the Republican National Convention, the news media failed to report her ties to the Obama campaign.

When Evans propagandized Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as a man of "peace" after meeting with him in New York City in September, the news media and the McCain campaign ignored it. Fox News reported the story, but unquestionably repeated Evans' propaganda and failed to question the Obama campaign. Rush Limbaugh spoke about it on his radio show for one day and then dropped it for the remainder of the campaign. Even El Rushbo did not report on Evans' ties to state sponsors of terrorism.

The failure of our side to make Obama's very public alliance with Jodie Evans and Code Pink serves as a perfect example of why this election was lost.

Text of Code Pink's press release:

Like the rest of the world, CODEPINK is emboldened by Sen. Barack Obama’s victory in a historic presidential election.

The victory came through the hard work of millions within the progressive peace and justice movement within the past six years, bolstered by a values shift among the majority of Americans and their growing demand and faith in change — including an end to war. It is a victory for the movement and inspiration for further change!

“Americans have stood up to say they know the cost of war in lives, dignity and money,” said Jodie Evans, CODEPINK cofounder. “Being against war is the winning decision. They are ready for change. War is so over.”

This victory will make it much harder for politicians to submit to the greed of Wall Street and the war machine, bending their own morals, by supporting war — as they have for the past six years.

But CODEPINK’s work is not nearly over. CODEPINK members will be in the halls of Congress and in city halls nationwide, using playful, disarming methods to remind politicians of the change their constituents demand and shine a pink light on any absurdities and abuses of power. They will urge them to end the occupation of Iraq and provide reparations for its people, to refuse to send troops to another losing war in Afghanistan, to create a diplomatic solution to the conflict with Iran, to restore our civil liberties and protect our environment, to bail out homeowners in foreclosure because of predatory lenders, and to create a NEW New Deal for America: jobs, housing, universal health care, education, roads and public transportation.

“We can’t stop now,” said Medea Benjamin, CODEPINK cofounder. “An Obama administration will need our help to live up to its promises.”

Code Pink also announced plans to hold a victory celebration at the Marine Corps recruiting center in Berkeley, California today at noon local time.

Background on Jodie Evans ties to state sponsors of terrorism and Obama can be found here.

Pray for our troops and their families. We have given the enemy direct influence with our next president.

Nope. The war in Iraq is pretty much won, and Obama’s moving troops to fight the Taliban, from what I have heard.

I wonder if he’ll fire General Petraeus, however? After all, he said as a Senator he didn’t trust him.

While personally hoping that a few well disguised Marines bash their teeth out while they're celebrating, I'll make a prediction. As a result of “code pinks” peace activism, and Obamas gutting and demoralizing of the military, millions are going to die. Anyone that doubts this will have to ignore a pattern that has been repeated throughout recorded history. Will they stand proudly then and claim the credit?

The Illinois thing? I can't take credit. I was sending out battle cries last night and another Freeper gave me that one. I had to add it to the list.

You know, I wonder how many people know who Code Pink is and who is behind them. My understanding is that Media Benjamin lived in communist Cuba and the other three nut jobs claim to be socialist at best. And then some leftist flew the commie flag in front of the White House during a Obama celebration. I just can't imagine so many Americans voting for this guy, if they knew all the facts.

It sounds like Code Pink expects BHO to bring the troupes home right away.

What are they going to say when he send them to Afghanistan, Pakistan and every other country who needs us?

Will they now feel it is okay because BHO sends them into harms way?

It'll be interesting to see the recruitment and reenlistment numbers in a few months. The One may have to think about the draft... the lefties will love that.

“We can’t stop now,” said Medea Benjamin, CODEPINK cofounder. “An Obama administration will need our help to live up to its promises.”

In 2000, Medea Benjamin ran for U.S. Senate in California on the Green Party ticket and Marla [Ruzika] became her fundraiser. For the campaign, Benjamin produced the booklet I, Senator, her delusion of grandeur fantasizing the day she and other Green legislators would establish a socialist state following a series of grave national emergencies.
In November 2000, Benjamin, Marla [Ruzika] and a third Green Party activist were arrested when they tried to crash a Democratic Party campaign event and force Senator Dianne Feinstein into a public debate.
Weeks later, Marla [Ruzika] was in Florida as a Green Party accredited election observer, where she lamented the dearth of street protesters supporting Al Gore and told the World Socialist Website that Republicans “should be on the terrorist lists.”
