Give the Great Train Robbery a read. The background information he spins out on Victorian England is really fun. I’ve read most of his works. The only one I couldn’t make it through was A Case of Need. It might have become balanced later in, but the early sympathic view for the abortionists turned me off. Despite, I was a fan and am sorry to hear this.

The Great Train Robbery was an incredible book and the movie actually follows it fairly well.
