I’m beginning to think that if American Jews don’t even support Israel through their voting...then why the hell do I (a Catholic) give a rats ass about it?

Exactly. They clearly don't give a sh*t. Why should we?

From now on, I care about my own family. THAT IS ALL.

PS I can smell the racism brewing...

If you’re a Catholic, you should give a rat’s a$$ about it because our God tells us we must.

I have to admit there are only so many times I can go up and talk someone down from a window ledge. After a while, it is their choice. People get the results they ask for.

Question—Do Jews in America care about Israel?

Many do not. Most American Jews are not religious. With a long history of support for liberal politics many have internalized the liberal line: moral equivelence between Israel and Palesting, the original sin of Israel's creation, the need for "land for peace" and other myths of the left. I guess realistically many have been here for 4 or more generations, like many of the rest of us, and their primary allegiance is not to a country they never lived in, but to their vision for the USA>

Been pondering the same rational myself, if Israel is not an issue that brings people to the table, then why are we putting our electoral chances on the line election after election?

At the end of the day though, Israel is an ally of the US, these numbers are discouraging, but you have to support your friends.

I know several IN Israel that supported Obama. They are a sovereign nation with their own interests at heart, I’m sure. Whatever!

Same reason I support the Jews. God loves them and asks us to support them in the Bible. Besides, ones you get to know a real Jew, you find them a real Jewel. The trick is finding a real Jew. Hint, they did not vote for Obama.

People stereo type them as smart. Well, over 70% of Israeli Americans voted for McCain over Obama. I guess that makes them smarter than most of America eh? LOL
