Will be exceedingly interesting . . . whether W will attack Iran sooner, now.

I don’t really think the legislating will make much difference.

Martial law is on tap on the near horizon.

The Constitution will be even MORE shredded/suspended.

Thank you.

I know in principle that a fight at every turn is a necessity.

I just doubt the Republicans in Congress will hear my one small voice.

How you doing today, greyfoxx? Are you in mourning weeds?

How about a little Robert Frost today?

Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Republicans and conservatives will be taking a needed hard look at ourselves. Losers usually do. We must reassess, recalibrate and argue.

My @ss. Republicans and conservatives are just fine as we are.

The problem is the corrupt, partial, news media who delivered the election to a potentially dangerous, inexperienced, unverified empty suit (if we're lucky) with a big mouth and a cold heart.

Now back to the real world. It's traditional that a new president get a honeymoon of some indefinite length.

I thought something was odd about this election. Then it hit me. I remembered what the UN said when Oboma declared his run for the presidency. It answered all my questions.

Oboma was untouchable - but why? Why wasn't he given an anal probe like every other candidate throughout American history? Then it hit me. Oboma won as soon as he started running. He was the right color at the right time. Anti-American nations around the world were watching to see how America would treat the black guy. The UN even sent over election watchers hoping to find some kind of racism or "human rights violation. "

Thar's why the press was absent. If Oboma were white, the pro-Hillary press would have torn him to shreds like any other candidate right from the start. Instead, they backed away.
That's why there was so much left wing lawlessness, and no one dared to stop it. They knew no one would dare stand in the way of the black guy - the American hating nations of the world were watching for a crumb, a sprinkle of racism to use against us. The left knew the UN was watching their backs.

Money from around the world was rolling in for Oboma, and the left could do, say, and buy anything they wanted - no one dared stop them. We'd be a "racist" country if we did.

So, now we have 4 years ahead of us from a guy with no past, no policy, and no experience. After the 4 years are up, race can no longer be used against us. The black guy won in a landslide, and that trick will never work again. America has passed the race test. Oboma was placed into the presidency not because of his character (no one knows what it is), not because of his past (no one knows what it is), not because of his policies (no one knows what they are), but because of the color of his skin.

Yes, people "voted", but they were voting in the moment. No one knows what they were voting for, though. Millions in campaign cash can buy a lot of favors and propaganda. To ask questions - any questions - would have been considered racist.

There's no use in crying over spilled milk. Fight, we must.

To paraphrase Mother Theresa, "we're not obligated to win, but to fight."

Here's what I said in an email this morning to a few conservative "fellow travelers":

Barrack Obama hates you. Obama's Administration will hate you. And a substantial majority of Congress will, as well. Well, maybe not you personally, but people like you. People who have succeeded, people who have money and material possessions. They'll be coming after you, and you'd best realize it, and realize it fast. "The rich" will see their taxes raised to confiscatory levels. A new era of unionization and government regulation is at hand. Cradle-to-grave socialism is on the way. Affirmative action will be redoubled. Any thoughts of a border fence have gone *poof* -- undocumented aliens will not only be welcomed, they'll be given drivers' licenses and tuition-free admission to community and state colleges.

Internationally speaking, we'll be the new France.

I would suggest curling up into a fetal position, but fetuses especially are now in danger.

There are limited defensive measures available, but here are some thoughts:

View this as an opportunity to do a thorough house-cleaning of the Republican Party. For the first time since 1954(!) there will be neither a Bush nor a Dole in Congress or the White House. Not that the late Senator Prescott Bush (R-CT) bears the blame for the current mess. But the Party, once it got into power in both houses of Congress as well as the White House, completely and utterly lost its way. In spending, the GOP made LBJ's Great Society spending seem stingy. A blogger on National Review Online correctly noted that the architect of the McCain-Feingold campaign finance law was hoist on his own petard. The mad rush -- expected of the Democrats but not of Republicans -- to afford everyone, regardless of creditworthiness, initiative, responsibility, or common sense the "right" to own a house proved to be a disaster. In these areas and in many others, the GOP has earned its new name: the Stupid Party. Time for new leadership. Our next Presidential candidate? Palin? Maybe, but I'm lukewarm. Jindal? Better. Burr? Worth a look. I'd ditch the House Minority leadership, and go younger there, too. The Senate situation is almost too depressing to comment on, so I won't.

On a more personal level, I'll be selling domestic stocks into any rallies, except gold stocks. And I'll redouble conversations with financial advisors on near-cash instruments, foreign stocks, and most of all tax planning. Since taxes on "the rich" will skyrocket, and since there will be massive transfers of wealth to "the needy" (after the bureaucracy takes a healthy cut), I deem myself free, for now at least, of any moral imperative to make charitable contributions. I have been fairly generous in the past, and even in the current rough year, with donations to my alma maters, to a couple of diseases, and to the Salvation Army. That ends today. Not one more dime. Why should I, now that I'll be doling out big bucks via taxes for meals on wheels and the like?

Hunker down, boys. The wolf is at the door, both financially and ideologically.

Bears repeating for the next two years.

FILIBUSTER JUDGES. FILIBUSTER APPOINTMENTS. FILIBUSTER LEGISLATION

And don't forget this little gem we will have to kill.

PERMANENT AWB.

DONT BOTHER COMING BACK NOONAN ET AL. THAT'D BE LIKE TRYING TO GET BACK IN AND MAKE LOVE TO YOUR EX BOYFRIEND AFTER YOU HUMILIATED HIM BY LIFTING YOUR SKIRT FOR HIS BEST FRIEND AND ASKING HIM TO KISS YOU. WE DONT WANT PEOPLE LIKE YOU AROUND ANY MORE!!

FORCE! THE! RINOS! OUT! OF! THE! PARTY!

We should have done this two years ago, people. Now it is not merely a matter of party survival; it is a matter of NATIONAL survival.

SPINE UP.

From the blogosphere....Flopping Aces:

Advice From Sir Winston

***********************EXCERPT*********************

“This is the lesson: never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.” – Winston Churchill

Conservatism was NOT Defeated Tuesday

There are a number of commentators suggesting that yesterday’s electoral sweep by Barrack Hussein Obama was somehow a repudiation of conservatism. Many of the same people also suggest that Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, the embodiment of modern conservatism, was to blame for our loss. Nothing could be further from the truth.

It was bad enough that Obama waged a racist campaign from the very beginning touting the possiblity of the “first black President.” Bad enough that McCain shot himself in the foot by suspending his campaign when the financial crisis struck and walked into a trap set for him by Congressional Democrats. All that was bad enough but not fatal.

Obama Bought This Election

Fight every attempt to entrench a new entitlement. Fight every attempt to redistribute wealth. Fight every attempt to radicalize the courts. Fight every attempt to weaken our defenses. Fight every attempt to restrict political speech. Fight every attempt to revise history. Fight for what's best about America.

Amen to that!!

2012 will be landslide for conservatives. The left has been paid out just enough rope by the GOP idiots that they are cocky and will over reach. I don’t know why the average american needs a real life lesson in this every 30 or so years but here we go, again.

My biggest smile comes from the fact that his supporters will suffer most.

One of the first things I’d do if I were in charge of the Republican Party would be to fire each and every one of the members of the RNC who ran the most inept, disorganized, fruitless campaign I’ve ever witnessed. Dole’s campaign wasn’t this bad. And I’ll never support any part of Obama’s anti-American agenda as long as I’m breathing. I’ll support Obama the same way Dems supported Bush...in short, not at all.

It will be the natural tendency of Republicans to join in the praise, and worse, to try to be "bipartisan" when it comes to legislation that is manifestly bad for the country and abhorrent to conservative principles. This tendency will be magnified by the Republicans' fear that any opposition to Obama's policies will be portrayed as motivated by racism rather than principle.
First up, a large income tax increase, with all notion of a "stimulus package for the middle class" down the memory hole. There *will be* a "carbon tax" on coal, and probably an increased federal excise on liquid petroleum fuels as well.
