I woke up again this morning and the nightmare wasn’t over. I’m hoping to not live long enough to see 2009.
Depressing. And this may very well come to pass. But I thought we were at the tipping point when Clinton had a Dem House and Senate.
God help us. We're nearing the edge.
ROTFLMAO!
It is amazing that the people who elected Obama are new immigrants to this country. They came here to supposedly gain freedom, only to elect a man who is precisley like the leaders from the countries they escaped.
A Fair Tax. That sounds good to me. At least it sounds fair. But what does “fair” have to do with absolutely anything?
Palin would be better off to continue as Governor. US Senators are NOT likely to be good presidents. Besides it’s better to be in charge rather than just one of a hundred blowhards.
Best wishes.
1) The elimination of the partial birth abortion ban act. Here comes completely unrestricted abortion on demand up to and including infanticide.
Imagine waking up and thinking, "How can I make it easier for people to kill more babies today?"
Not to mention the fact that Israel is going to attack Iran sometime in the next three months. Sooner probably, rather than later.
Obama will not stand by Israel. What happens next is anybody's guess.
It has been dead for at least twenty years as a force in politics. Except on the "minority" side. You may see it come to the fore more and more in the Hispanic community as they join with blacks in demanding "their" seat in h city council, their seat on the school board, This slice of the pie mentality with a failure to understand how the pie is made larger has been deadly for blacks. Look at DC, where the population is divided into two classes: those with jobs with the government or with "minority" companies feeding on government contracts; those with zip.
No. 124 years ago. When the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor.
Excellent and sobering post.
I wonder how long FR has to exist now.
Oh for pete’s sake! ...hoping to not live long enough to see 2009? Get a grip man! It is what it is and it’s time to grab ahold...hang on...take care of yourself, love your family, be kind to your neighbors and demonstrate to others what it means to be a good citizen in your community. Don’t even think about throwing your life away! Sheesh! Get a grip!
“Today, I will live vicariously through you in your business. Can you fire him for stupidity?”
Actually, I plan on making it a point NOT to spend money at businesses that supported this “change”. As part of my “patriotic duty”, I will pay my increased taxes with the money I would have spent on their services.
As an aside, we should create a list of businesses that support Fauxbama and boycott them — let them reap what they sow. Only ones that we are 100% supported him — if they were stupid enough to post signs, etc.
freedoms? what freedoms?
oh yeah - those freedoms. i thought maybe the author meant constitutional freedoms eroded over the last decades into a pale shadow.
That's why the Israelis need to act before January 2009. He's not president yet.
There's no room here for sanity. FR should be hysterical today! :-)
I liked your post. Need a voice of reason amongst all of the hyperbolic rhetoric. Me, I'm not happy about the results of the election, but I'm taking away a few things. Dems did not get a supermajority in the Senate (that really worried me....). Prop 8 did not pass in California. And contrary to all of the apocalyptic wishes of many Freepers, no urban areas were burned flat in celebration (or riots protesting defeat).
America survived far worse political tests. We're roughly in the same situation as we were in, in '92, and almost exactly the same situation as we were in during the '70s. We're still here, and we'll be here to pick up the pieces in 2010, and 2012. It'll just be expensive.
I hate to say it but, it may be time for those of us who have sworn to defend the Constitution to do some soul searching, and be prepared to act if this new regime carries through on its promises.
Yes it IS still too early to start shooting, but it's high time to start organizing!!! (Before the "Civilian Security Force" is formed!)
Yeah, I stopped reading after that.
I believe that Boortz could care less about abortion. He sees is as part of individual liberty...having the right to choose whatever you want.
I am ashamed!
However, this was forecast by our founding fathers. Ben Franklin once said, words to this effect, "This great experiment of government of and by the people will only work until the people get the idea that they can vote themselves anything they want!"
Combine that with the dire warnings of George Washington that people should never align themselves with political parties, in his farewell address, and ...
We are living the results!
