Not of Parliamentary Government of government with some form of proportional representation.
Canada does not have that. The left vote was heavily fractures allowing the conservatives to win almost a majority of seats in Parliament with just 37% of the vote.
I’d like a Parliament here. But no prop rep. it leads to too much instability.
I didn’t say we should have Parliamentary form of government. I was noting that voters are not force to vote for a party solely to oppose the other, regardless of principle in a Parliamentary system. Granted that may not always be the case.
Which is why I went on, that perhaps we should have organized parties within the two major parties caucuses. Each sub party votes for its leader. The leaders then run off in a primary against each other. The winner would know who he/she would have to ally with to gain his or her sub party votes. Could even negotiate with sub parties from across the isle.
