As I'm sure you are aware, we live with that fear every day. But it's especially bad now. Our enemies have been emboldened and we still have “boots on ground”. As of tonight, they are in real danger.
All we can do is pray, speak and fight back.
The battle we're fighting right now with our fellow Americans is much larger than the one we're fighting over there. In many ways, it's more important. We are really the last bastion of freedom in this world. If America falls, it's the end of the true Republican Democracy. There's nowhere left to go.
We beat the terrorists on the battlefield, and they have defeated us at the polls.
But pride comes before a fall, and as long as we remain humble, we have nothing to fear.
God is still on our side.
I’m a 13-year Army veteran; my knees forced me out in 1999. After 9-11 and as each of the follow-on battles in the GWoT beagn to heat up, I tried to get back in and do what I could, but was turned away as too old and broken (in 2001 I broke my foot and now carry around a small collection of surgical steel).
The Michigan National Guard finally said they’d give me a shot last month; I was all set to go in and sign my SF-180 (putting myself one better than Jean-Francois Al-Quaeri) this week.
Shortly after Sen. McCain conceded, I left a message with the National Guard recruiter; the answer is “no.”
To all servicemembers and families: if you stay in, you have my support and hopes for victory. If you can legally get out, may I suggest you do so. If you’re about to sign up, think about it...please?
Oh, yes, I will defend my country...as well as I can...from my own front yard. No uniforms, no orders, no medals, and NoBama.
the problem is that it’s easy to think this if the vote was close electorally, but it’s a W level beat down going on and it’s not pretty. People in this country are more upset than I even could think. I pray for them, but I wonder whom they are.
They took the Bible and 10-commandments out of our school and replaced it with condoms, STD, and free abortions without parents consent!!
They teach them socialism and other garbage, instead of math, reading and history. They teach them "gi-me," "gi-me" attitudes instead of learning to taking responsibility and work ethics, and disrespect for parents, like the painter did from Austria, setting the world on fire!!!

Today, this country has been torn asunder and I don't ever expect it to come together again. Decent, patriotic Americans have no business associating with traitors to our military, like this communist trash Obama who voted to cut funding to our own combat soldiers while they were fighting and who refuses even to wear the stars and stripes as a lapel pin.

Marie, if it’s any consolation; there will be no freedom for those that chose the path of Obama. They will soon learn that Obama and the people behind him care little about them.

I joined the Army during Carter. I’d venture to say that most of the military has no idea what they are in for.
Training budgets slashed. No money for fuel, beans or bullets. In my tech school we didn’t couldn’t even qualify. No money to attend schools, fewer promotions and delayed maintenance. Everything will suffer. Just as the Democrat Party wants.
My son has two and a half years to go in the AF. He’s already sent me an email saying there is no way in hell he’s going to re-enlist. Also, a friend of his from high school just signed up and is due to go in the end of this month. I’m going to talk to him and his parents and let them know what he’s in for.
Under Clinton we had the draw-down and yet we still had a huge ops tempo due to all the “peace keeping” missions. It was hell. The pay *really* sucked (younger soldiers have no idea what “poor” really means). Even then, we had some canceled field problems and ranges due to ammo and equipment shortages.
It wasn't that long ago that our boys were stepping into Afghanistan and Iraq with sub-par equipment. That happened under Bush's watch was *directly caused* by the way Clinton stripped out the military. No, the democrats are horrible for the military.
Respect is due.
The US forces have kept the peace in post-war Europe - we have squandered our inheritance.
Many salute your good family and those like them, (though we are in a minority).

Dear Marie thank you so much for you and your familys service to this Country. You cant see, but I am in tears! I live in Florida and we tried real hard to fight. But this goes to show what money can buy! I have lost my faith in my country but not my God. Please dont think all of us let you down!
The Founding Fathers never said it would be easy and they left us a wealth of knowledge to guide us. Lick our wounds tonight and continue the fight tomorrow.
