A Letter from a Soldier's Wife
Self | 11/4/08 | Self

Posted on 11/04/2008 10:34:57 PM PST by Marie

Well, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida... you did it. You delivered my husband's life and the lives of hundreds of thousands of service members into the hands of an American-hating Socialist.

You've emboldened our enemies and, by that action, put our service men and women directly into harm's way.

After surviving the eight years of the Clinton administration, I really thought the worst was behind us, but you proved me wrong.

After 18 years of military service and much sacrifice from everyone in this family, you showed your gratitude by throwing us to the dogs like so much meat.

I hope your ideology keeps you free. If Obama has his way, we won't be able to.

I too am a soldier. I just keep reminding myself that I have sworn to support and defend the CONSTITUTION against ALL ENEMIES, bother foreign and DOMESTIC. I never took an oath to the president or any elected official. I’m at 19 years of service now. I’ve been taught over the years that we do not have to follow an unlawful order.

My daughter and her husband just joined in June and I worry about their future. A sad, sad day for America.

My soldier son is not too happy either, Marie. Nobody likes being stabbed in the back.

Dear Marie,

My husband and I appreciate your service and the sacrifices your family is making and has made. I am sorry that we did not do enough to stop this demagogue.

God Bless You and Yours

"I hope your ideology keeps you free. If Obama has his way, we won't be able to."

The people who voted Obama in made themselves slaves in ways they don't understand yet.

Me too. My granddaughter's husband was severely injured in Iraq, almost died and brain damaged. We are really really ill.

I guarantee, a whole lot of military people will leave and or drop out, they will not serve a traitor as Obama.

Well, you could have hubby join the Guard.

If the rules haven’t changed, you give notice 3 drills in advance and leave.

Of course, you’ll loose that pension, but that may not be there in another 3 years anyway.

I expect the number of folks quitting will be enough that the dreaded Stop Loss will be invoked.

I lived thru Carter as AD, I got out when BIlly C took over.

Once in a lifetime is enough.

I wonder if Obama will be able to keep up the recruitment rates that Bush had. I know some who were toying with the idea but said that they would not enlist with Obama as Commander-in-Chief. Wonder if his “youth vote” will be willing to match their actions to their rhetoric?

The Iraqis are not happy either. They fear for their future.

I told one of them that their army needs to get up to speed ASAP. They won't have our protection much longer and Iran is salivating at the thought of taking over. I'm sure al Qaeda is encouraged as well.

Don't say we. Most every one in this place tried to stop largess. I guess there where not enough of us.

Your hurt is probably greatly understated. The whole notion that we would elect this man is beyond comprehension. We have let you down. We worked hard in Ohio; unfortunately, Obama and his tricksters worked in ways that we didn’t. On behalf of our state, I apologize. Words cannot describe how sorry I am for you, your husband, and every military family, and for all of America. May God be with you all.

Stay the course, sweetie.

And you’re right to remember your oath!

Maybe we should stay in. We don’t want the higher-up positions filled with Obama lap-dogs.

My military friends and I are deeply saddened by the election of a superficial, immature candidate. We know that the people who voted for the candidate are not students of American history and do not understand the potential problems we face in the future. Thus, we shall be courteous toward the uneducated voters and work behind the scenes to stop potential problems.

Please don’t forget that millions and millions of us are still behind you and all the military. The other half of the nation doesn’t care, but we do. We won’t forget the sacrifices you have made, and together we will return to power. Keep the faith.

I’m so sorry for what your family suffered. There is nothing anyone can say to take away that pain.

And I am so sorry that your family was also stabbed in the back by this election. McCain would’ve done so much for our disabled vets!

~grrr!~

The early retirements will go up dramatically, and the re-enlistments will drop like a rock. I wonder how long it will be before the “draft” will be back because not enough are signing up for service???? I don't think that it will be long. Sad and very dark days for the “late, great, US of A”. Israel and the Jewish people are truly on their own.

Those of us who realize what a mistake the voting public made tonight are ALL p1$$ed. The whole country is in harm’s way. Ubama is like a baby duck when it comes to national defense, so Israel had best hit Iran’s nuke facilities with its best shot before our new socialist president is inaugurated.

And we civilians had best be prepared, too; the scenario I’m dreading is that we start seeing Muslim suicide bombers in our mass transit systems and anywhere people gather, like in Israel. They’ve been over here for years, and Ubama’s inauguration could well be the signal they’re waiting for.
