Menendez was making a reference (albeit poorly worded) to an earlier news story that Brit Hume and other Fox News anchors leaving, not to shutting him. Your quote is not accurate. He said, "I'm certainly not one of those who want to see you leave as one of the anchors - I’ve heard that before".
