I have a son in the Marines who is deployed... and he was very nervous about this election. His intentions were to make the military a career. That will now change I’m sure. I have a daughter who was entering the Navy’s DEP. I will now discourage her... which is a shame because up until tonight’s elections I was pushing her in that direction.
My advice to young conservatives:
We need our own conservative media more than anything else. Until we can bypass the MSM and speak directly to the people we are going nowhere. Find a way to get rich creating that and you will make a contribution to the cause worthy of a Buckley or Rush Limbaugh.
A CNN type news outfit that exists only on the internet? That will be norm in ten years. Create it now and we will have the advantage.
There is an online dating site called “plentoffish” that apparently is run out of a guys bedroom and yet makes $10 million a year solely from Google advertising. I see potential to get rich and save the world for some web savy young conservative that creates the online replacement for the New York Times.

Are you sure that leftists will even allow elections in ‘10, ‘12, and beyond? Why suffer political embarrassments when the left can just avoid having any elections in the first place? The left doesn’t care about either the law or the U.S. Constitution, unless it helps the left even more.
To be brutally honest, I'm thinking about it. I don't think the Army would take a guy in his late twenties, tho.
So what you’re saying is offering your children up for sacrifice to George W. Bush for the Iraq fiasco (and Iran soon probably) was fine, but not fine for Obama?

If Obama gets re-elected in 2012, look for them to start making noise about revoking term limits in 2014. I will guarantee it.
This soldier will be retiring after 32 yrs. I still have 10 more yrs. left if I want it, but I will not be under the command of this mongrel. I served 4 yrs active duty under the hollow Army of jimmah carter, I refuse to do it again. Dig in people! I was an Army brat under Carter and a Marine wife under Clinton. It SUCKED. This will be worse.
The first thing that I’m going to do tomorrow is beging the purge of the Jackson County Republican party. It is filled with RINOs who are so bad that they didn’t even run a candidate for my district and gave it to the dems by default.
Then I’m going to work on the Young Republicans in my area. They are more interested in meeting at the local bar during happy hour than actually doing anything. Their website shows their lack of motivation. It hasn’t been updated in almost a year.
It begins tomorrow and we will see the results in 2010 when we take back the congress!!!
Just make sure to include a fully referenced and sourced show that goes through and demonstrates how the rest of the media is covering things up or distorting them.
That would take an amendment to the US constitution. But perhaps there would be some manufactured crisis. And then the ONE could declare marshal law, suspend the constitution, and declare himself dictator until the crisis ends. But of course the crisis will never end.
Please, calm down. I would rather have my son in the USMC than any college in America. Besides, the privates and corporals will be protected by their NCOs and junior officers. So, young men will be okay in the military.
Run your life on a cash basis as much as possible.
Avoid using credit cards.
Pay off debts as soon as possible.
Avoid name brands and buy items on sale or with coupons.
Avoid keeping money in banks.
Buy a safe and keep your cash there.
If you wish to give to charity, give through your church only.
Buy a gun, and get a CWP while you can.
Put off buying any large ticket items...keep consumer confidence low.
Four years of socialism should wake the people up.
I trust that the Generals will stand up to Obama. And they will look after their men.
But I have been dissatisfied with the treatment of our Marines even under Bush.
We put our bravest into war zones, but then prosecute them for PC purposes and to appease the world when they do kill someone.
This will be much worse under Obama.
I am a Texan living in CA right now. I would recommend young people join the Guard instead.
Tomorrow morning, begin reestablishing Young Americans for Freedom as a plo;itical force. We who are YAF alumni will help you any way we can.
