Fire a Liberal — it'll make you feel better...
I for one intend to do it tomorrow... NY is a right to Work State, I can fire anyone i want for any reason or for no reason (as long as it isn't racial or gender discrimination)...
Their are a handful of spoiled self-righteous twenty-somethings who work for me... they have no idea what my politics are and have shamelessly worked on Obama stuff at the office... like all narcissist's, they assume everyone thinks like they do... tomorrow two of them will learn the hard way that they were wrong...
Here is what I intend to say:

You have chosen in the past several months to bring your political views into the work place... so it is no secret to me that you have been active in supporting the very democratic candidates who I believe will threaten the very existence of this business... You are apparently, not interested in the welfare of this business and the people it provides with jobs. Subsequently, I'm not interested in employing you. Today is your last day. You'll be paid a two-week severance. You are entitled to COBRA health care benefits as described by law. You are probably entitled to unemployment benefits, but you'll have to pursue that on your own. If you choose to use me as a reference for future employment, I will give a true and faithful account of your performance here, but will also describe my reasons (as outlined above) for terminating you.
You may think that this decision is harsh and perhaps unfair — but no person is immune from the consequences of their actions and decisions. Grownups live their politics — and know you must live yours.
I wish you well and good luck in your future endeavors.”

The EEOC ruled after the 2004 election that an employer can fire someone because of their politics. The case was from NY where an ice cream shop owner fired a Bush supporter simply because he was a Republican. The EEOC said that anti-discrimination laws only pertained to race and gender.

I don’t think it’s at all harsh. It’s time we took a stand and quit being the nice guy and having them walk all over us.
I do think though you should tell them you’re preparing for the increased taxes coming from Obama but don’t mention you saw them working for Obama. Good luck. I wish I could be there to see their stinky little faces but it’ll teach them a good lesson.
Naw, wifey and I are going to sell her company. Fire the four folks that work for her. Give the house and other property to the kids and go on welfare. Let Hussein pay our medical bills, rent and gas bill.

Good for you. Teach the little cretins that they should have kept their politics out of the work place.
I commend you for doing this before they can hurt your business further. Most employers will find that it is necessary to pare down their expenses due to the increase in tax burdens Obama and the Dems will cause us all.
You will save the salaries of these two and perhaps that will allow you to keep other more loyal employees longer.
Actually, I agree with this plan...to some degree.
There have been at least two “Atlas Shrugged” threads posted tonight, outlining similar plans a la “John Galt”.
Let’s face it, those who voted for Obama did so in the expectation that Obama would stick it to YOU (the small business owner). The rest of the people who voted for Obama are simply parasites who hope to live off of those who work for a living.
So, do what is best for YOU and YOUR BUSINESS. Simply put, find out who were the Obama supporters among your employees, and fire them. Think of it as a latter-day version of the Boston Tea Party. What you save in direct employee costs and fringe benefits, invest towards your own retirement or towards a “rainy day” fund when you can again expand your business without getting hammered for it. Send your wealth overseas, or invest in precious metals, whatever it takes to keep your money where it belongs — in your pocket.
For those on this board who are too squeamish/nice to do this, it was the “nice” McCain who lost this one for us. The only reason we did as well as we did was because the “not so nice” Palin let Obama have it with both barrels.
The time has come to put our money where our mouths are. Stop giving to charity, except your own church, Boy Scouts, NRA, and other selected worthy organizations. Send the Obamabots to the unemployment line. Cut back on production, so the government gets less money. As of NOV. 5, 2008, the productive sectors of this country are ON STRIKE!
