Obama won Yamhill county about around 300 votes. That’s a majority Republican county too.

Is there any news on the ballot measures yet?
I have no TV so was over at a friend’s watching tonight’s tragedy unfold.
Heard McCain’s modest, elegant and patriotic concession speech. Heard about 90 seconds of Obama’s acceptance speech and felt ill and came home.

Actually Smith is the winner -- RINO or not, he is still a republican!

It doesn’t look to me like he won. Not unless those numbers are wrong.

I can hardly believe the margins on that for Schrader. And on some of the ballot measures. We are really in a leftist state.

Amazingly, though, they still have not called it for the Senatorial Race. Wonder what’s happening and why they don’t call it?

Results are pretty much as expected in a leftist dream world, except for measure 64 which seems to be passing. Of course the public employee unions will find enough votes to turn that around by morning, or barring that, buy a court decision to nullify it. And probably have Bill Siezmore imprisoned or executed (since bankrupting him didn't stop him).

57 and 61 are both passing, which is weird, although 61 very skinny margin. I wonder if people even read their voter guides or just make decisions based on ads? When you talk to folks, it seems sometimes they actually do not even comprehend what the measures are about. Especially bond measures or tax increases...just stick the word “education” on anything and it passes, and people seem to think the money will materialize out of thin air instead of increasing their property taxes. Or maybe they don’t have property so they don’t care. I just cannot understand what seems to be sheer stupidity. How else could Obama get elected if people were simply not stupid?
