Buy one while you can. If they follow California, you won't be able to buy them, sell them or transfer them. You won't be able to pass them along in your estate either. California forced registration of all "assault weapons" in 1999. The only alternative was to move them permanently out of state. That was my choice. I moved the firearms and everything else out of the state. It's a bigger problem when the law is federal. There's nowhere to go.
