BREAKING NOW... Does this mean it's over????
Pi$$ on Faux news calling states with 9% in.
This is all over.
The Bush legacy is almost complete.
Upon further review, there has been a reversal....Mickey Mouse and the Chicago Bears CAN NOT VOTE 87 times each.
Agreed...Bush killed conservatism (for now)...but we’ll be back baby....magritte
I hope there is a change with the actual tallies, but the trend looks dim. Anybody who reads this and has yet to vote, get out and vote!
Well, we survived four years of Carter, and if President Obama fails to “fill my gas tank and pay my mortgage” by 2010 we may see some blowback...the economy is still what it was yesterday, and our radical Muslim enemies abroad will be eager to test the young apostate.
I don’t think this is a fatal blow, and for all I know Obama might be so pliable that he can adapt to the reality of holding power, something he hasn’t done as yet. I’m not happy, but I’m not hopeless.
>>And the country is simply no longer a center-right country.
Bush blew the brand. Whatever else you say about the guy, he didn’t communicate to the people worth a damn, and this has killed us, beyond any policies you may or may not agree with.
Ohio has been called too early, IMO.
I saw the early voters and they were all BO. But the polls were crowded all day with the GOP regulars. It will be much closer than it looks right now. Guaranteed.
California will vote for McCain when you quit taking drugs. But, if it makes you feel better, then starting figuring out how you are going to get your hands on them in the reeducation camps.
This still is a great nation as far as I'm concerned. Anyone who thinks otherwise is free to leave.
did you really think you could run a campaign like McCain did, and win, it was over when Fred Tompson couldnt be shaken awake, and bigots sunk Romney. I tore up my Rupub card long ago, an act every true conservative should immediately do, if unlike me you still living in-country. Oh, btw, my ex pays a higher combined tax rate (fed/state/local/sales/hidden manufacturing/Fica, etc, than I do, and she lives in New York, I live in Sweden. And you all KNOW your taxes are going up, whilst ours are actually decreasing (down a total of 7.8 percent for average Swede in last 3 years)
BULL MOOSE!!!!
McCain was an execrable candidate. He helped the Dems blame the financial meltdown on “Wall Street greed” and insufficient regulation. He never even tried to package all of Obama’s radical alliances into an argument that “change” = socialist revolution. Bush did a terrible job of selling his presidency, to Republicans' great cost. If his candidacy is any indication, McCain would have been even worse.
If Republicans want to know who's to blame for their Ragnarok, they should look in the mirror. They have carefully avoided leaders with any ideological orientation for decades(since 1988 to be exact). You can't lead from the middle of a milling crowd.
The Dems have become a revolutionary party. If Republicans don't wise up and reinvent themselves as a counter-revolutionary party, they won't be competitive again for many years.
still do not believe it.
He tried, but the military pushed back, and the policy was retained at "don't ask, don't tell."
But you're right to not give up, although I'm looking at moving to Wyoming or Alaska.
OK I held my nose to vote, and it did me no good.
No More...
Mad Dawgg
Polls in CA close at 8:00 PT, one hour from now.
