People, you have to realize that states move in groups. It's topographic. The reliable analysts know this. For example, if a GOP candidate takes PA, he is going to take OH, because OH polls 5 points higher for a Pub candidate than PA. And if Mac takes OH, he is going to take VA, because VA polls a few points higher than OH.

Bottom line: if PA falls for Mac, then a slew of other states will fall for Mac. So, keep your eyes on PA people, if it goes for McCain he WILL be the next POTUS. BTW, ain't it interesting that Mac spent so much time in typically Democratic strong holds in PA?

Exactly. Plus I think that would signal that the Upper Midwest is in play. If the bitter clinger/PUMA vote is enough to win PA for McCain over the urban+black+youth vote, then I think we'd see the same effect in WI, MN, & IA. Plus what about MI?

I voted a bit after 7 AM in rural MI. It was the heaviest turnout I’ve ever seen. I have no idea if that is good for McCain or Obamanation.

I just made a bunch of calls to MN...the nicest folks! Can we count on their support for Mac—you betcha!

It most assuredly is in play. McCain/Palin haven't been campaigning up there for nothing.

Heavy turnout here in West Michigan, a real strong red portion of the state. Hope it’s enough to overcome Detoilet. I’m mildly hopeful! Especialy when the liberal Ann Arbor newspaper endorsed Mac.

It’s unfortunate that McCain was unable to connect with the western mountain states, it would be nice to have that cushion.

Mr. Marstin thinks MN, WI, MI and even WA could be possible. I think he thinks IA may be just too hard. MI and WA are a real stretch but not impossible.

Marston must know McCain as they have been in AZ politics for a long time. Marston worked for Goldwater!
