I just talked to one of my best Team McCain sources who told me that heading into today all the key battleground polls were moving hard and fast in their direction. The source, hardly a perma-optimist, thinks it will be a long night, but that McCain is going to win. So add this with the new Battleground poll (Obama +1.9 only) and the rising stock market...

I was reading one of the blogs last night another freeper posted. I forget the name but it was incredibly detailed with on the ground PA and OH stuff. It was not HillBuzz (pumas) but they may link to each other. He said what you were saying about all these rusht belt & mid atlantic states being similiar and 5 points more conservative than another etc.

It talked about McCain going to the airport in PA and two of the ladies who worked on Hillary’s campaign missed the rally and raced to the airport just to wave. They thought Johnny would miss them but he saw them, had the truck turn around, jumped out, ran to them and hugged one woman with the Secret Service guy trying to chase McCain down!

These ladies I think ran Hillary’s campaign in PA. The blog said McCain offices had Repub and Hillary volunteers working side by side!

I wonder if McCain quietly hired these Hillary staffers in PA and other Rust Belt states and maybe FL.

I am pretty sure, based on a source I have, that McCain did this in NM.

I wonder if McCain has kept this secret the whole campaign that he is employing Hillary people in key states to reach out to PUMA’s. This may be the secret we read about tomorrow after the win.

This dovetails with Mr. Marston who said McCain will have a Landslide by switching a few PUMAs. Marston is a long time AZ resident and he lives in Prescott. I think McCain lives in Sedona.

I think the PUMA operation may be the biggest secret and end run in the history of American politics. I will fight with Pres. McCain, I am sure, but he is a clever man witha clever team.

I called McCain’s office during the gang of 14 stuff and told them that I would never vote for McCain. I have spent this whole campaign promising myself I would not vote for McCain. And in the voting booth today I pulled the lever for McCain.

My Confession:

Architects, myself excluded - I hope, tend to think they are smarter than everybody else. They are pretentious and obnoxious with a nauseating social “consciousness” that permeates their beliefs and warps their perspective. Just look at any architecture magazine and you’ll know what I’m talking about. I hate most of them.

Interesting. I thought that architects would be more of the type of engineers, who are far and wide conservative in my experience. In working with hundreds of 'em, I can only remember one that was moderately liberal.

We love living here in Chautauqua County (east side of the lake, up near Dewittville.

Went to vote at 11AM. Turnout was very strong in our tiny precinct. Hope our votes for McCain manage to help turn this blue state just a bit closer to purple.

I know, but can’t we all dream a little?

Mr. Marstin thinks MN, WI, MI and even WA could be possible. I think he thinks IA may be just too hard. MI and WA are a real stretch but not impossible.

Marston must know McCain as they have been in AZ politics for a long time. Marston worked for Goldwater!

It’s sad... if it weren’t for NYC, this would be a wonderful state to live in. I can only imagine what businesses we could attract with a reasonable property tax rate.

And as far as I-86, I think it’s interstate-grade past Binghamton, but not contiguously - last time I drove east, they were still working on the Future I-99 and I-86 junction in Painted Post, and some more at-grade intersections along the way. It is designated Future I-86 in these parts though.

You did the right thing even if you didn't want to do it. BTW, in terms of your tagline, apparently not yet.

My husband is an architect, and we are hard core conservatives from way back.

Of course, we don’t get along much with some other architects we know.

Guns and Bible Clinger types...

There used to be a Republican Congressman from the rural parts of Pennsylvania named Clinger.

Don’t give up on NM. I have a theory that PUMAs are actually secretly working for McCain. I know this is true in NM from my sources on the ground.

The Catholic Church’s bishops in NM, PA and Kansas City have said Obama is totally unacceptable and it is not just due to abortion. The devout faithful Mexican-Americans north of Santa Fe may swamp the Lib in Santa Fe with McCain votes from what I am hearing. They also do not have a cutural affinity with Obama and some have called him the anti-Chr*** according to another Freeper.

The Native Americans in NM have a lot of PUMAs. McCain also fought for them in the Senate as Dems were ripping them off in the Indian Trust which holds Fed money for the tribes.

The words is the Mexican American vote in the North can go McCain, enough in ABQ and the South will go strongly McCain.
