WARNING: this is how Election Day is going to go down. Do not get sucked in, Eeyores!
Hillbuzz ^ | November 4, 2008

Posted on 11/04/2008 9:27:58 AM PST by BAW

We don’t want to beat a dead horse here (or, donkey, as the case may be), but we need to remind you all, once more, not to be Eeyores today.

The Obamedia is going to do to you what they did to Hillary supporters during the primaries — they are going to lie, and float all sorts of incorrect exit polls, and start revving up to declare Obama the winner.

Drudge Report — mark our words — is going to run that flashing red/blue siren he loves to report McCain losing all sorts of traditional Republican states around midday. He’s going to get all of you Eeyores hyperventilating.

The goal of the Obamedia is to depress you so much you don’t turn out to vote. Our friend Astrid always falls for this garbage, and we know she is not all alone. She’ll be miserable all day because she’s never learned to turn out the media and just chill out.

This is going to go down just like Super Tuesday - where the media claimed Obama would win California, New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and others…but Clinton won every state we predicted she’d win.

In fact, we were right about every state in the primaries except Missouri, which Clinton lost by less than 1%. Otherwise, we were spot-on.

So, we know you Eeyores are going to drive everyone in your lives crazy today. You are going to panic and wet yourselves and email/call/bother all of your friends and relatives all day. You’ll forward bogus polls and terrible links to everyone, and depress people left and right.

We have no idea why you people behave this way and really wish you would stop. Because we’ve been through this with you since New Hampshire and just think it’s all so ridiculous.

Here’s our advice: take a break from news today — consider everything you hear to be lies. Watch some cool movies (our favorite of all time is The Contender with Joan Allen), eat a nice sandwich, have a nap (or two), then tune into the Election Results around 10pm or so CST to see the final tallies add up and wait for a winner.

The rest of the day will just drive you over the edge — and then you will spread this Eeyore gloom and doom to everyone else, because that seems to be what you do.

We will never understand that.

But, we know you’ll do it, because you’ve consistently done it since January. It’s very predictable.

Just like the election results.

McCain wins 286-252…and America gets its first female Vice President.

And on November 5th, we start campaigning for 2012.

I've asked Jim Rob and the mods to delete any threads that have unverified claims of an Obama victory. If its not an official vote count, it means nothing. And then as we know, exit poll responses are slanted Dem.

And the reports of BIG, BIG turnouts in Rural America could undo EVERYTHING the Obama Media has tried to do!

GOD BLESS MIDDLE AMERICA!!

It is already over. The results of the Dixville Notch voting are in with Obama 15 votes and McCain 6 votes. It is clear from this sample that this will be a huge blowout for Obama. My prediction is Obama with 702 EVs and McCain with -164 EVs.

Good advice. There is such a masochistic lure to tuning in the bogus network results. I won’t do it today.

BTW, we have a big old Golden Retriever who looks and acts like Eeyore. He’s so funny. And now we have acquired a little Rat Terrier who is the epitome of energy. We’re now calling her Piglet, since she runs Eeyore’s legs off. She won’t let him be. I love the analogy.

Just came back from voting. I went at lunch to avoid lines, and sure enough the place was almost empty. But we live in a small town, and probably most people will vote after work, 5-7:00 pm.

Good post, except I wouldn’t worry too much about Drudge. So far, he seems to have been more than fair to McCain/Palin. It’s the damned networks and media pimps who will try to pull out all their tricks to depress the vote.

?Watch some cool movies (our favorite of all time is The Contender with Joan Allen),”

I kinda like “They died with their boots on”, “ZULU” (hence my name), “The LASt of the Mohegan” and “The Last Samurai”

“300” is also cool. The good guys lose, true - but ULTIMATELY - they win!!!

As in 2006, I may well not turn on the TV at all. We’ll watch a movie, and then I’ll go to be early, and when I wake up in the morning I’ll see if we know who won or not.

My knowing earlier won’t make a difference, so might as well not suffer.

In 2004, I went to bed right after they called Virginia for Bush — that was all I had control over.

I will note that in 2004, when I woke up the next day, my wife told me they didn’t know who won yet because of Ohio, and I thought she was joking.

The Clinton Crime Cabal sock puppets slink into FR.

Exactly. They're voting for their own purposes. They don't need congratulations for it. "Treason was the reason" for impeachment.

And what are you, pray tell? Obama's FR butt-boy, that's what.

You should have been banned months ago. I guess the mods keep you around or the same reason they keep MurrayMom around. Comic relief.

Conservative base in Alabama is fired up, and this is a safe state for McCain/Palin. Voted at 10 AM, and from the look of the roster over a 1/3 have voted already. I think this is could be a good sign that the conservative base is coming out in large numbers, which we expect anyway but its good to see.

I think today is going to be a refutation of the pied piper Obama and his socialist dream. If there is a "righteous wind" coming, its blowing the wrong way for Obama.

Thanks for the lift!

On Nov 5th, I am going to start working with my state legislative representatives to get laws passed that
1. Require that all Presidential Candidates present credentials, including official birth certificates with raised seals that show they are eligible, before their name is placed on the ballot;
2. Strengthen voting laws so that shenanigans like Acorn do not occur again and violators are severely punished;
3. Potential voters are screened sufficiently in advance so that it can be determined that they are valid.

Rush gets a laugh out of the exit polls that show some voters as “undecided” about the presidential ballot.

Good grief, if I drank a Red Bull, I would puke. Although I am trying with all my might to be upbeat, positive and optimistic (OK,OK, everyone that knows me calls me on election day to figure out how to vote - I HAVE to be optimistic), I am worried sick.

Have we tipped over the edge as Americans? We’ll know soon.

OPTIMISTIC, UPBEAT, CHEERFUL IN CALIFORNIA (but no stimulants!)

No. Matter. What. Vote. Even when the desperate MSM start calling it for Obama as they fully intend to in order to suppress opposition turn out - still go vote.

We voted last week. Every state should have early voting. Just cut out one giveaway social program to the Welfare Lazy such as “Midnight Basketball” and it could help fund early voting.

Eeyore is a character in the Winnie-the-Pooh book series. He is characterized as a pessimistic, gloomy, depressed, old grey stuffed donkey who is a friend of the title character, Winnie-the-Pooh. Let’s not be him!

This explains alot. I never read Winnie the Pooh and was unfamiliar with Eeyore. I have lived in liberal Austin for 6 years and could never figure out why a large group of ‘hippies and lefties’ celebrated Eeyores birthday every year. Finding out that he is gloomy and pessimistic, he fits in perfectly with these so-called freethinking-openminded progressives inhabiting this city. Liberals and their message REALLY are depressing.!!!!!Thanks for the info
