I’d like to believe this, but .... I voted in Northern Virginia this morning, and I have never seen the lines so long. In ‘04 it took me 15 minutes to vote; this morning it took 1 1/2 hours. Now the bad news: as far as I could see (and judge) likely Obama supporters including youths and minorities, outnumbered likely McCain supporters ~ 20:1.

Perhaps you were behind the Obama’s in line this morning. (Oh, wait, you’re in Northern Virginia).
I’m just trying to take a cheap shot at how long they took to vote, soaking up some more media attention.
(Maybe they were undecided...?) /sarcasm

"outnumbered likely McCain supporters ~ 20:1. "
Over 35% of obama voters took the day off (per the chosen one's instructions). Only 6% of McCain voters took the day off. The McCain supporters all went on to work, they'll vote in the afternoon.
Also, a lot of McCain supporters I know voted early (so as not to miss any work). With all this early voting going on, lines at the polls today are not an end-all/be-all indicator of the vote.
Keep praying and getting out the vote.
