Redskins lost to Steelers on MNF (Does this help GOP/Mac)
Posted on 11/04/2008 3:55:57 AM PST by DocT111
I was listening to Rush yesterday and he said that if the Washington Redskins win their game before an election (I can't remember if it was the MNF or a Sunday game), the incumbents win in the election...
Since Pittsburgh defeated Washington, how does this bode for Mac?
Just curious...

An alternate way of winning an election is to get more votes than your opponent.

Wellll...it makes the potential McCain voters here in Stiller country very happy...and a happy, content fan is more likely to go stand in line and vote! Rush will be happy too (he is a huge Steeler fan). And, FWIW, Rush (on his show yesterday) said he ran into John Madden (over the weekend in Indy) and Madden explained that the string was already 'broken.'
Now...don't be worrying about silly superstitions...step away from the keyboard AND GO VOTE!!!

Historical coincidence as a predictor? The 2004 result should have been a good sign for Kerry. It wasn’t. Dixville notch voted overwhelmingly Dem for the first time since 1968. So what. It just means they really blew it then, with Nixon, and failed to properly predict Clinton’s election, twice.

Well, since the Steelers represent the working man, the working man has beat Washington. McCain and Palin are more for the working man and they’ve been campaigning to take on Washington.
I’ll take whatever good omen I can find or makeup today. LOL

Only thing that makes a difference is voter turnout....
I regret I have but ONE vote to give for my country.
