Will the Sleeping Giant of Conservatism Awaken? (vanity)
Self | Nov 3, 2008 | The Duke

Posted on 11/03/2008 7:59:41 PM PST by The Duke

During the days of the Clinton adminstration Freeper political activism sprung up on many fronts, and took many forms ranging from political protests and counter-protests to regional gatherings, media events and marches on the nation's capital. Freepers could be found virtually every weekend near the White House (believe me, you couldn't miss 'em!). The "Freeper Air Force", in the form of message-toting bi-planes, flew over major cities and sporting events.

In short, Free Republic was the left's worst nightmare.

Since that time many of those activist Freeers have come and gone - some to their eternal reward. But there are also those who remain, and there are those for whom the opportunity has only now come to take up the banner of freedom.

Tonight may well be the eve of even darker forces gaining control of our precious country, courtesy of massive voter fraud and media collusion.

My question is, should Obama and his corrupt minions at ACORN and the leftist media prevail, will that sleeping giant awaken?

Let the sleeping Giant of the silent majority RULE on Election Day. The 80% of us who refuse to respond to pollsters will finally be heard, and a McCain/Palin victory will be the “surprise” result.

Nothing magic at this point, just get up early and work all day. And don’t let up until the last poll closes.

I’d like to think so, but I doubt it. I think the electorate has changed fundamentally. We are close to the point where half the electorate are parasites. There’s no turning back. “Idealistic” youth with other nonproducers will probably tip the balance in favor of the annointed one.

You bet’cha!! And even if John McCain and Gov. Palin prevail we should continue to fight for our values. If we dodge the Obama bullet we still need to dig into his past and remind people of what almost happened to our country and prevent a re-emergence of his candidacy. If BO prevails we will need to be ever diligent, keeping an eye on what is going on and re-acting appropriately. Our country NEEDS a conservative revolution and a christian revival, Let’s all make it happen!!!!

This website will be targeted by an Obama administration, as will Rush and anyone else that dare speak the truth about him.

will that sleeping giant awaken?

Sadly, conservatives are always attempting to put out the brush fires. When are the going to turn their attention to the root causes?

Conservatives should study Saul Alinsky’s book and adopt many of his methods. We have a Marxist candidate because the Marxists started **DECADES** ago to lay the foundation. They slowly infiltrated the schools, the media, entertainment, the social services, and our legislatures.

So....Conservatives need to do the same. We must set up private **conservative** schools, one room school houses, and homeschool cooperatives. Thankfully, we have seen great strides in alternatives to the mainstream media. Surely Mel Gibson has proven that their is a market for entertainment that upholds the values of Western Civilization. We can use our donations and endowments to pressure universities to establish studies that strengthen traditional values.

Of all the weapons that the Marxists use against us **schools** are their most powerful. Conservatives should immediately start there. Work to open conservative schools. Work to close down government K-12 schools. If universities can't be reformed we must start our own.

I am hope to see action in these areas. If we don't the Marxists will win.

If Obama wins, I’ll predict a lot of folks will wake up. Hopefully their newly incentivized actions will make a difference in 2010 and ‘12.

We've never had a presidential candidate this dangerous before. Every Conservative in the country and many moderate will vote McCain. The One shall not prevail.

will make a difference in 2010 and ‘12.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

By then Obama will have thoroughly corrupted the elections.

The courts and prosecutor offices will be stuffed with corrupt Marxist operatives. Some conservative judges will die as conveniently as Obama’s grandmom.

His civil service thugs will intimidate.

What makes you think that in 2010 or 2012 that elections will make a difference?

"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

Thomas Jefferson

Perhaps that time is approaching for us patriots.........

I received this right after you posted. This says it all. I do think as a freeper said...Conservatives are going to rise up like a Phoenix and I believe tomorrow we will all be singing to heaven that we dodged a bullet and McCain is our Commander in Chief. There is nothing like a Liberal to draw out the conservatives. I cannot wait to vote! Here’s a good read to ponder:

I have always heard about this democracy countdown. It is interesting to see it in print. I pray that God help us, not that we deserve it.

About the time our original thirteen states adopted their new constitution in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years earlier:

‘A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government.’

‘A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.’

‘From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy which is always followed by a dictatorship.’

‘The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the beginning of history has been about 200 years’

During those 200 years, those nations always progressed through the following sequence:

1. from bondage to spiritual faith;

2. from spiritual faith to great courage;

3. from courage to liberty;

4. from liberty to abundance;

5. from abundance to complacency;

6. from complacency to apathy;

7. from apathy to dependence;

8. from dependence back into bondage.

Professor Joseph Olson of Hemline University School of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning the 2000 Presidential election:

Number of States won by: Democrats: 19, Republicans: 29

Square miles of land won by: Democrats: 580,000, Republicans: 2,427,000

Population of counties won by: Democrats: 127 million, Republicans: 143 million

Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Democrats: 13.2, Republicans: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: ‘In aggregate, the map of the territory Republican won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of this great country. Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare...’ Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the ‘complacency and apathy’ phase of Professor Tyler’s definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation’s population already having reached the ‘governmental dependency’ phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal’s and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

If you are in favor of this then pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom! Rise up ...Fight, fight....we can do it!

Conservatives will show up to beat the Marxist down tomorrow. You don’t vote for Bush in ‘04 and suddenly decide that you are going to vote for Obama in ‘08. At least 5 million of you don’t.

Tomorrow is the funeral for the mainstream media and the left. It will be quite enjoyable that in what they are anticipating as their finest hour, they will (again) taste the bitter pill of electoral defeat.

A good fit, indeed. I read 3 threads in a row that were from a news source and that’s way too many.
