If you havent made up your mind who to vote for in tomorrows presidential election, Im not sure that what I am about to tell you will help but it just might. Both candidates told the web site sciencedebate2008 that they accept the scientific agreement that greenhouse gases from burning fossil fuels are changing the Earths climate. And both candidates have said they want to cap emissions produced by the burning of those fossil fuels.
But only Barack Obama has said he would regulate CO2 as a pollutant under the Clean Air Act.
President George W. Bush has declined to curb CO2 emissions under the auspices of the Clean Air Act, despite the fact that the Supreme Court ruled in 2007 that the federal government must do so.
If elected, the Democratic senator from Illinois will tell the Environmental Protection Agency that it may use the 1990 Clean Air Act to set emissions limits on power plants and manufacturers, according to his energy adviser Jason Grumet.
If elected, Obama would be the first president to group emissions blamed for global warming into a category of pollutants that includes lead and carbon monoxide. Obamas rival in the presidential race, Republican Senator John McCain of Arizona, has not said how he would treat CO2 under the act.
One agency would have complete say.
In case you hadn’t been pinged already, for the global warming list
The message people need to know is that it will cost them big time on their electric bills.
Some may think that if they don’t work in a power plant, or don’t own stock in it, or don’t work anywhere due to retirement , that it won’t affect them.
Obama will cost us all if he is elected, that is just about guaranteed.

Ping me if you find one I've missed.
Should we analyze the pollution coming from Obama’s nose?
I have said it before and I shall again for the sake hearing myself. The fraud that is climate change will usher a global tyranny of biblical proportions.
People are breathing too much. That’s the primary cause of the C02 pollution. Also we should regulate the use of Dihydrogen Monoxide.

Problem is, coal is not the only fuel that produces carbon emissions. Oil does, gas, does, natural gas does, propane does, wood does.
If he’s proposing taxing the polluter, what’s he going to do to all the people who heat with wood? Or any other source?
Or all the people who drive gasoline and diesel powered vehicles?
So, electricity will be in much more demand. How much can the system handle in increased demand? Where is it going to come from as most of our electricity production comes from coal at the moment?
The price of electricity is going to skyrocket along with demand while availability decreases.
What’s going to happen to all of us who live in cold climates and HAVE to heat our homes to keep from freezing to death?
More than most people know. Margins are getting smaller and smaller all the time with way too few baseloads coming on line and a lack of transmission to get the power from here to there (especially the there's that won't allow baseloads).
Not to mention the fact that CO2 is respired by humans. ABout 2 pounds per day (give or take) x 365 days per year x 6 billion people, thats about 2 billions tons of CO2 per year.
Just hope the emission reduction plan isn't too onerus or I might have to find a closer parking spot at work so I don't breathe too much...
Begin with a false premise, and from it enact real policies that hurt real people.
The slowly decaying stuff on the floor of the woods emits carbon emissions. So are we planning to tax forests?
As I said on another thread, there are no more “thinking” undecided voters. I firmly believe the “undecideds” are really Democrats who don’t want to admit that they’re not voting for the Chosen One. Why else would they be breaking so strongly for McCain-Palin? And the PUMAs have been instructing their forces to lie to pollsters to inflate his numbers.
Besides, who that is a thinker COULD vote for Obama? LOLOL!
NOW, get out and vote for the only team that has an America-friendly energy policy!
I wonder if the Supreme Court will revisit this decision.
As CO2 levels rise, plant life is breathing a little easier. If the chosen one rules it a pollutant, and takes steps to reduce it, flora everywhere will rise up and lay waste to those responsible. there will be blood in the streets. I suppose the king of the world aka Obama will next declare dihydrogen oxide a pollutant, and tax it. this will further infuriate plantlife. it’s not nice to fool (with) mother nature. DHO is commonly known as water.
I vote for Democrats to stop breathing. I vote for Obama to lead the way...
