A masked man waving an American flag and holding a handgun on a Santa Barbara freeway overpass has shut down Highway 101 for nearly two hours.
Police Sgt. Lorenzo Duarte says the man is on the La Cumbre Avenue overpass wearing a ski mask and brown fatigues. He's waving an American flag in one hand and a handgun in the other.
No shots have been fired.
The freeway has been shut down in both directions...The police special weapons team and a crisis negotiation team is on the scene.

THE VIEW!! UGH!!! I know. I was watching the KEY3 coverage and then the high pitched whiney libs started in. I had to flip to another channel. They probably flipped to the ladies while the guy hung up the Obama sign. Sorry to hear you got stuck in this. We were lucky to catch it before going out the door and finding ourselves in the same situation.

Interesting that Michael Douglas lives in SB (Montecito) in a mansion that you would not believe. He and Steve Martin tried to pick up my wife 20 years ago (unsucessfully) at the Olive Mill Bistro. He’s shorter in real life. A LOT!
I feel for our military heros. This guy was one and he did have problems. I think the vets do not get enough help when they come home or during combat.
I hereby take back calling him an insane person.
Too bad he is a Zero supporter. He really is mixed up if he thinks Obamao is the one to help him.
Too bad he holds our flag upside down. Ayers, Wright and Obamao would be proud.
