Barack Hussein Obama, the socialist, did say he wanted the coal-fired power plants bankrupted. The production of coal doesn’t create carbon emissions. The burning of coal does.
Many coal companies will just export their product, but many will have to shut down if there is not enough market for steam-burning coal.
I am not backing Barack Hussein Obama, the socialist, in any shape or form. If you listen to his comments, you will hear him say, “...whatever power plants that are being built, they will have to meet the rigors of that market”. He was talking about the carbon and greenhouse gas emissions after coal is burned. And, a few seconds later he says, “... if somebody wants to build a coal-fired plant, they can, it’s just it will bankrupt them because they are going to be charged a hugh sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted”.
