Pennsylvania is shaping up to be what Florida was in 2000 and Ohio was in 2008. On the morning drive in, I was tuned into our nationally sydicated talk show which broadcasts from Pittsburgh, PA.
He was reading from GOP internal polls. McCain has actually moved into the lead in Pennsylvania (but still within the margin of error) and was only 1% behind in Michigan. Keep working and don't give up!

I will say though, that if you were in a political vacuum somewhere and had no knowledge whatsoever of what Gallop, Rassmussen, etc. said the polls were, these numbers would make perfect sense to you.

“I will beat Michael Phelps’s swimming before Barack Obama wins North Carolina, and I can’t swim.”
I respectfully but strongly disagree. If the GOP had lost FL in 2000 or OH in 2004, then President Bush would have lost the election.
McCain can lose PA and still comfortably win the White House. But I hope he does win PA, crushing that little racist Marxist and helping deliver about a half dozen House seats back to the GOP.
UAW has the day off here in Michigan.
anytiime one poll has Obama ahead by 11 (Gallup) and then by 2 (TIPP), this whole thing is one big mess. I for one have no idea what will happen tomorrow but I feel a McCain win with these numbers are as probable as anything. So many McCain supporters are quiet supporters - we will finally have our voices heard tomorrow.
Agreed. Winning Pennsylvania would solve a lot of problems.
We don’t know that this is true. The numbers from MI and esp. NJ seem just a little too good to be true. I don’t doubt that we can win PA, however.
Second that jersey117!
Take Pennsylvania and WE WILL WIN!
No despair! No back-biting!
Heads high and Let’s WIN THIS ONE FOR NANCY!
Obama’s bankrupting coal comments could make this election in Pennsylvania if it where used.
“I wonder how many people will take off work tomorrow to go vote as Obama has told them to do?”
Obama supporters don’t work remember. They are waiting for their rightfully deserved welfare checks.
On CNN’s Late Edition, Senator Arlen Specter said that there would be no Bradley Effect in Western Pennsylvania but there might be a disparity between what people tell pollsters and how they actually vote.

thats definitely a different guy.. the poll numbers you show have mac way ahead in PA., the numbers quoted by this guy is one ahead in PA.
According to the conversation that Charlie Black had with reporters on Saturday on McCain’s campaign plane, the campaign itself stopped polling after Thursday night because all their ad buys had to be done by Friday.
I’m not dismissing that these could be from before they stopped polling or from the party proper and not the campaign. And if my belief that most or all of the undecideds in the IBD/TIPP Poll are really McCain votes, these numbers could be a reality, but it is just that, a belief.
It will not become a fact until Tomorrow Night.
That’s right—free rent, free mortgage..........
I see a lot of Obama bumper stickers around and very few McCain stickers. Heck, I even live in AZ.
