Democrats are touting early leads in turnout for early voting in Florida. But a new poll that counts actual votes cast in the early balloting gives Sen. John McCain a four point lead among those who have already voted in the Sunshine State. The Los Angeles Times/Bloomberg poll of early voters shows McCain ahead 49-45%.Democrats outnumber Republicans by 54-30% in the party identification of early voters, according to figures released by the Democratic Party of Florida. Those numbers are not showing up in the voting this far.
More good news for McCain can be found in the the absentee vote tally. Republican registrants lead Democrats by a huge margin, 50-30%, in the over 1.2 million absentee ballots returned this far. Florida has a large active duty military population, many of whom vote by absentee ballot from stations overseas. That typically gives Republican candidates a large vote advantage in state wide elections.

If true, this is interesting. During the primaries, Obama consistently showed better in exit polls than he did in the final tally. People were saying they voted for Obama when they did not. McCain could actually being doing even better.
I don’t want to get ahead of myself, but I have a gut feeling PUMA POWER is going to be loud tomorrow!
They are off until I vote tomorrow.....even Fox news runs what I would call bad polls (polls with skewed weightings).
Yeah but Muslims are blowing themselves up in front of Israeli nightclubs.
The 3 reasons McCain will win
-PUMA’s
-Reagan Democrats
-Sarah Palin
Someone should do a “YMCA” parody using “PUMA” :)
Could the Coal issue be what gives Mac the win? That and Joe the Plumber plus Jeremiah Wright.
YEAH!!!...I'm impressed with the quick response time.
Super me also! What you have in the MSM is Tokyo Rose 24/7. They are real nervous and they know the polling crap. Heck even insiders in the Obama camp know they have trouble brewing. This place will be insufferable through election day with reports of exit polls, Obama landslides and other miscellanaous half truths, rumors and str8 up crappola.
Speaking of in your face, my mom was in Arlington VA yesterday and there were Obama supporters on a street corner. One of them pestered her, “are you supporting the Democrats?” She sprinted away from them and then yelled, “NO!!!!” Then another woman walked by them and didn’t answer! After crossing the street another Obama supporter asked my mom the same question and she said, “I was already asked this question” and walked away!!!
You have a right to vote. My company allows two hours of voting time paid. YOU BETTER GO VOTE GIRL!
I’m going to have to go during lunch...if I’m late, I’m late.....I just hope it’s not 3 hours...
Do you have a good Boss? Can you just get his blessing if you are 3 hours late?
I hope Fawn pulls out the Company Policy and shoves it in Boss’s face.
I did not know about that law....that helps alot. My boss will not say NO, but it will be remembered if you get my point.
Who’s the _lu_?
Guys, we need to keep in mind these polls can be wildly inaccurate.
Early voting is not as easy to poll as otherwise.
Some are showing McCain ahead, others Obama ahead.....for the same state.
Don’t become complacent because of this.
These are old numbers anyway.
It sounded pretty good.. I was actually quite surprised and impressed they got that out so fast. I haven’t had the “Hillary” call yet, but we still got all day :).
