Lest we forget, it was President Clinton who put the kibosh on mining in Western States with low sulphur coal.

Another off limits area for energy development, just like ANWAR.

True but W promised in the 2000 campaign that he would review all of BJC's EO's and specifically the Esclante coal embargo. If he did he must have agreed with the embargo and let it stand. W has not been a friend of energy.

See my post 37 upthread...regional (PA, WV, OH, MO) time needs to be bought tomorrow nite during Monday Night Football...Steelers are playing at the Redskins...so all Steeler fans will be TV bound (which is a good portion of PA, OH and WV...MO...should be target just because of the coal they mine too).

My God, I sure hope somebody in the campaign, thr RNC, or in a 527 has thought of the same thing.

I’m watching Sunday Night Football on NBC and they just ran the Rev Wright Ad! Bleeped the ‘damn’ delicately ... with football fans, the words need to be left in!

I saw it at the same time here in the Peoples Republic of Seattle. It must have been a national buy for that ad on NBC Sunday Night Football. They've raised enough money for several national ad buys for that ad.

I also noticed they bleeped out the 'damn' from Wrights GD America sermon; your right, it takes a little something away from the ad. They did say they were having some problems with a couple of networks about the ad...maybe they had to compromise by removing the 'damn' to get it aired?

He has no idea what he’s saying. He had his head down looking at the paper and made absolutely no effort to make eye contact. It was pathetic.

What you say in sincerity as your position a while back should all be chucked because of a "new" statement you made in the heat of the campaign?

Not on your life. I'm from Ohio and as far as I'm concerned, this comment of Obama ACTUALLY ties him to what BIDEN said is Obama's actual position.

Does anyone have Biden's quote about Obama hating coal? Said it about 2 months ago.

Biden + Obama's ORIGINAL comments are the truth. This new spin is purely for campaign consumption.

America should not be fooled. Obama is in the pocket of Opec (he wants to destroy coal power) and is in the pocket of enviro-wackos (he wants to drive up the price of electricity.)
