My prediction: George Will’s physician discovers that the 2” thick wooden rod is actually impaled much deeper into his colon than was originally determined. And Stepinlotsofit will cry on National TV.
I thought the expression was “toe the line,” but maybe you’re right.
What the heck is on the end of that line Georgie’s towing?
*chuckle*
It’s one we haven’t heard much about recently. I have confidence that they will reject the communist.
Here's mine. The neverending campaign will go on even further. *sigh*
I never liked Will, and one thing that always ticked me off was his frequently professed love of baseball. It always puts me in mind of other famous political commentators slash baseball fans like Fidel Castro and Danny Ortega.
Does anybody know if Che played baseball?
If the media is off this badly, when all it has taken me is a wireless connection and firefox to figure out that this race is tight, with McCain holding an edge in enough states to win this thing, then maybe their credibility will finally be destroyed forever.
This isn’t going to be pretty. They are calling this race for Obama with 350+ electoral votes. That’s at least a 6 point margin in the popular vote. I’m not exactly sure how they figure that a county which elected an allegedly strong conservative Republican (by MSM standards) in 2004, suddenly has lurched so far leftward that it will elect the most liberal presidential candidate ever. A 6 percent margin on 120 million total votes would be a win by 7.2 million popular votes. Bush won by 3 million votes. So they’re calling a swing of 5 million voters from Bush to Obama? Get f-ing real.
On top of that, Bush isn’t running. McCain is, and he has been popular with independents and Dems for a while. Obama has not been able to solidify his own party behind him like Kerry and Gore were able to.
We all know that the media story will be that America is still a ‘downright mean and nasty country’ after McCain wins this thing.
Of course, the media could turn on the Obama campaign and actually rip them for running a hard left campaign which alienated the country. Given that the Clintons will be aiming to take back the party from the moonbat left, I wouldn’t be suprised to see this line of attack appear.
The media will be embarassed. If there isn’t a president Obama to seek to curry favor with, but rather yet another failed liberal Dem presidential candidate who is nothing more than a junior Senator from Illinois, they might not fear dumping on him for a change.
Some of these people are beyond belief.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
“The entire MSM is in the tank for the One. They are so sure he has the election wrapped up that even the conservative intellectualoids like George Will surrender to the groupthink. Its stunning. “
This is George’s last go round. If Bambi wins, he will get those Washington dinner party invites. If Bambi loses, he is off to the Old Republican home.
Explains why Will has been kissing Obama’s butt lately.
I have a scenario posted in a neat and colorful map above of a EC tie at 269. My genuine nightmare scenario here would be the chaos that would result from this, esp. if there are any kind of movement toward the GOP in the House races where a tie could give McCain the presidency.
(Far fetched though it may be, it's better than Will's prognostication.)
And that is why, win or lose, the Wills and the Noonans should be shunned by Conservatives or just folks who enjoy a fair discussion.
Will like many of these talking heads are simply trying to keep their easy chair jobs. Will is getting boring too.
You say toeing and I say towing lets call the whole thing off.
He’ll do whatever it takes to be liked on the Washington Cocktail Circuit
I AGREE very much...they are making themselves obsolete.
