Obama's Thugs Stealing McCain/Palin Signs In Michigan

At this time of the year it's usually the leaves that fill the streets with color, this year campaign signs assist in that effort but just as the leaves disappear from the trees so are the campaign signs from the streets.
"Somebody came in a hurry and got all the signs, as many as they could," Lansing resident Bill Renfrew says.
And while keeping signs in your yard without them getting yanked is a problem every election season, the folks who run the Ingham County Republican office say this year is in no way typical.
"Some people have been in here three or four times replacing their yard signs," Jan Criss of the Ingham County Republicans says.
The biggest issue with stolen signs seems to be happening on the Republican side, they say over the course of the past few months a third of their signs have disappeared into thin air.
"You can go into neighborhoods now and every McCain sign in the neighborhood will be taken," Criss says.
But what about the local Democrats, are they seeing the same kind of problem?
"We haven't seen as much of that. It may happens to one in every 500 signs," Sarah McClure, an Obama volunteer, says.

I had a little problem like that at first, but I found some poison ivy,and using disposable nitrile gloves,I rubbed it all over my signs. Then I made a tincture of poison ivy from rubbing alcohol,Goof-off graffiti remover, and olive oil.Its very slippery and also prevents easy removal of my signs. The local goon/goons attempted again last week but since then my signs have been perfectly safe.I hope they like a good case of dermatitis.

“I find it quite silly to think that anyone actually believes that votes can be swayed by stealing campaign signs....”
I think it’s a “sign” that the Obama team of thugs are getting desperate. My McCain/Palins signs were taken and replaced with an Obama signed GLUED to my fence today. It’s getting ugly out there. Of course, I am prepared...ripped the O sign down and have a dozen ready by my door. Glad it’s only 2 days before we celebrate this win....

Newb-you aren't supposed to change the title of the article. The original reads: "Thieves Nab Campaign Signs"
But, thanks for playing.

The idiot Obamathugs think defacing or stealing signs will convert people to the Obama side. It fact, it will do just the opposite, especially when they resort to decorating the signs, or the sign owners’ properties, with obscenities. How incredibly stupid these lowlifes are.

Recipe for oil of poison ivy:Take poison ivy leaves and vine bark, cut into small pieces and place into a plastic bottle with a good solvent,goof-off works very well.Allow to steep over night and then strain, pour into a small amount of vegetable oil and shake well.Spread generously over signs, especially on the sides and bottoms.Note:use nitrile gloves as they are chemically resistant and I used disposable charcoal dust masks just in case.Dispose of ALL utensils and equipment(a sharpened butter knife cuts well).Wash up immediately afterward and wash clothing separately.

If you would like to be added or dropped from the Michigan ping list, please freepmail me.
No problem with mine downtown. It helps that I have a massive dog who loves to sit in the front window.

Not all of Wayne County. Portions of it are in McCotter’s district.

We live in Fort Smith, and I’ve seen a few McCain signs go missing in our neigborhood. We have had 2 in our yard for several weeks now with no problems (we live on a prominent corner, making it harder to steal them without being seen). We each have a bumper sticker on our cars, no problems there either (and we park under a carport even).
Our neighbor’s two Obama signs have been hit repeatedly by them with their own vehicles and finally one of them got taken out in the last day or two (I think the roofing guys might have run it down with one of their trucks). The remaining one looks pathetic (but if you saw their front yard, it’s par for the course, lol).

In our area on the west side of Michigan, many of the McCain/Palin signs (especially on M-43) have been torn through by Obama supporters. They are still standing so you can see what they were. None of the Obama signs have any damage.
On the Quinn and Rose radio show they were saying the GOP internal polls currently show Obama ahead in Michigan. This was on Friday. It wouldn't surprise me if McCain ends up winning here.

A McCain-Palin sign up the block from here got mildly roughed up, but the owner of the house seems to have straightened it out. Win, lose, or draw, there will be riots after the election, probably even starting the day or night of. Thanks grellis.

Love the idea, but one of the first cases I learned in Torts class back in law school was that someone that booby traps their property is liable for damages. Someone in Iowa trapped their place, and a burglar got his foot shot. The owner lost in court.
I didn't like the case, but I have to give fair warning. Disclaimer - This is not legal advice, but just facts from a previous case.

I'm in Tim Walberg's. I'm quite worried about this one. Mark Schauer is a jackass, but a good campaigner who can hide his spots well. He also voted for Granholm's tax increases as a state senator.
I think he'll hold on, but he's not getting a lot of help from the screwups at the NRCC, that's for sure.
