The one with Tina Fey (or was that Sarah...?) was funny.

The other one was dumb. The “double maverick” is just a little too close to reality for John.

McCain was charming, relaxed.
Cindy’s cameo was unexpected.
The audience seemed genuinely receptive to them both.
His Weekend Update bit was pretty lame ,but, tame,
probably written by the SNL writers - the opening bit was probably a product of McCain’s people.
Again, McCain was charming and was obviously having fun.
Not the cranky ,old guy as portrayed by the media.

But..the most hilarious, ROTFLMAO bit I can recall in SNL history was Ben Affleck’s take off on Olbermann.
Affleck gave the performance of his life-he captured Olbermann’s dementia and his Bush Derangement/ McCain Derangement Syndrome perfectly.
While getting in the shot that he lives with his mother and his cat.
Either someone at SNL despises Olbermann and resents NBC subsidizing his sickness or Team McCain tweaked that skit.

I continue to be impressed with John McCain in these settings....he appears to have such a great sense of humor.

Not sure why McCain let Fey portray Palin as knowing she had lost this election and was angling for 2012.
