Pro-Obama Catholics plan stop the vote at parishes
Denver, Oct 31, 2008 / 06:26 pm (CNA).- Priests for Life is warning that James Salt and Chris Korzen from the pro-Obama organization Catholics United sent a blast email on Thursday offering instructions on how to prevent pro-life Catholics from distributing electoral guides near Catholic parishes around the country. Fr. Frank Pavone, director of Priests for Life, has also pointed out that the Catholics United plan could have negative legal consequences.
In a message sent from the email address parishprotection@catholics-united.org under the subject "Help Protect Catholic Churches from Political Manipulation," James Salt and Chris Korzen say that with less than a week to go until Election Day, things are getting ugly. In a final act of desperation, the religious far right is calling on its activists to defy the U.S. Catholic Bishops' order to keep unapproved election materials from church property by doing a 'literature drop' at parishes across the country. The goal of this activity is to convince Catholics that it's immoral to vote for candidates who don't subscribe to the right's narrow agenda."
The email goes on to warn that last Monday, "the partisan group Priests for Life held a teleseminar to train some 3,300 activists nationwide on how to place divisive political literature on the windshield of every churchgoing Catholic's car this Saturday and Sunday."
Salt and Korsen then announce that Catholics United is "spearheading an effort to put the brakes on the religious right's plans in as many parishes as possible," and is asking followers to "call your pastor and encourage him to instruct the ushers to monitor the church parking lot during the worship service."

Somehow 13- out of 107 Bishops disagree with these CINOs.
The list of U. S. bishops who have spoken out on the priority of the life issues in this election is now over 100. The list now contains 70 individual bishops and three joint statements.
I would like to continue updating this list until the day of the election. I have tried to incorporate all the comments thus far. If I dd not get them all, I apologize. (For a few of the suggestions, I could not find a suitable link.)
Please continue using the comments section to let us know what bishop is not on this list who should be. This would include any bishop who has individually, or jointly, published a statement about this election pointing out the primacy of the life issues.
Thank you for your help.

I’m a practicing Catholic. I’m also a catechist of 5th graders in my parish.
There is, and has been, a lot of soft headed liberalism in the Catholic Church. A great deal of it is left over from the 60’s. I hope that it’s starting to make it’s way out.
There is alos a great deal of “white, liberal guilt”. I think a residual of public schooling. As there is no litmus test requirement, there is no way to keep these people out the door.
There are non-practicing Catholics (who are still counted as Catholics), there are liberation theology types and there are also outright sabateurs (secular humanists posing as practicing Catholics), who mean to undermine the Church and it’s teaching. I would bet that Catholics United is one such group, along with Voice of the Faithful. If you looked at their policy position on down the line you would find that they were out of step with the Magesterium on many issues; marriaqge of clergy, gay mariage, etc.
Subversively undermining the Church and the teachings of the Gospels is at the heart of these issue.
According to Catholic teaching if one promotes or practices abortion they have already excommunicated themselves from the Body of Christ. A lot of folks don’t know this, even Catholics.
I don’t know that the Church has ever publicly cut someone off from the faith in modern times. I think they would like to reserve this for hardcore schismatics who obstinantly and recklessly lead the faithful away.
I believe Pelosi, and probably Biden, have achieved this criteria. They willfully and with intent, misinform people on the teachings of the Church. They lead the faithful away from Christ and they know what they are doing.
I believe that they should be publicly excommunicated.
