I live outside Chicago, and the headquarters of the only local paper to endorse McCain is about 2 miles from my house. I think they feel safe that Obama supporters won't drive out here to break the office windows and slash all the tires in the parking lot, and the commuter train station is too far away to walk there.

I moved out of the Chicago area about 20 years ago, from
Lake County. I just cant understand what has happened to the
Illinois that I remember. How did this guy, 0bambi, ever get the
support from outside Cook County? My memories bring me back to a time
when we were RED.

What the Hell happened?

F&F reporting from Chicago that the venue for the Obama campaign Tuesday night will hold 70,000. About a million people are expected to show up. About two million dollars is the estimate for the evening.

All police days off are canceled. All police to take their ‘gear’ home, and be on stand-by for whatever develops.
