I can not see a anything different from his normal show. Video at the link.
The main difference is that the fake Olbermann is kind to animals.
I’ve got to hand it to Affleck, he really smoked Keith Obamamann. LOL! Keith really needs to go find a shrink.
he did good!
keith is a loonie!
“Ive got to hand it to Affleck, he really smoked Keith Obamamann. LOL! Keith really needs to go find a shrink.”
Yeah, I can’t stand the real Keith. Ben is a dem, but from the times I’ve heard him on interviews....he seemed semi-reasonable. I’m sure he understands that fools like Keith are a stain on the left.
It was a funny bit...I’m wondering if there’s a youtube version of that...anyone?
That was roll on the floor hilarious. Good for Afleck - he almost lost it twice, but you can’t blame him. McCain’s bits were funny too.
SNL deserves some credit. This season they’ve gone after the Left way more than usual.
Yeah, and notice when the skewer the status quo (lefties who think they are so avant guarde but are actually now decidedly mainstream in many quarters) SNL is actually funny. Hey, SNL is finally smelling the coffee! They must be waking up and saying: Omg! We can actually be funny again; we’ve discovered satire and it is us!!!!! V’s wife.
Olbermann has earned every bit of the ridicule that Afflleck heaped on him...
LOL! Good on ya Mr Affleck!
I'll always remember Keith and Dan Patrick as the Kings of the Highlights on Sportscenter, and -- a minority viewpoint, I know -- I do like that NBC has re-teamed them for the halftime highlights on Sunday Night Football.
Which makes me wonder even more why Olbermann thought politics was somehow his forte. All he's done is cater to the nutroots -- the '60s holdovers who are dying off and college students who will soon outgrow their nutrootdom when they hit the workforce.
With Dan, calling sports highlights, Keith was always fun and thought-provoking. As a political commentator, he is and has always been empty bombast in service of empty ideologies.
Keith -- sometimes making wordplays on "if you're scoring at home" is more vital to the health of the Republic than pontificating on politicians. Maybe even more so.
I didn't think the impression was all that good. The main obvious fact about Olbermann's show is his totally over-the-top un-ashamed one-sidedness. (And I say that despite the fact that I rarely complain about media bias.) And it's true that parts of the show are devoted to long rants against Bush or Palin. (I tune these out.) But Olbermann also has a sense of humor that wasn't reflected in the skit and I think a lot of his audience derives from the fact that he is somewhat entertaining.
Shouldn’t they exaggerate it a bit to make it really funny?
Hahahaha! Now that there’s funny, I don’t care who you are!!
Give Afleck an Oscar. I think his eight minutes are probably the best acting job that I’ve seen in ten years. Afleck has been wasted on cheap scripts and loser movies...lets do a two-hour Olbermann movie and let Afleck loose on him.
Look at Youtube for Olbermann. He is worse than that.
I’m not sure it counts as a skit if all they did was read a verbatim transcript from one of Olberman’s shows.
The portrayal was somewhat “humanizing,” making Olberman look like a lovable crank, when the real Olberman is, for most people, pretty repulsive to watch.
The dramatic camera-angle switches was a pretty funny touch, though.
Affleck hit it out of the park. They should of done another skit involving a bathtub.
It’s a scream
and normally you would have to pay me to watch Affleck
Affleck is pretty good and really good for a few moments here and there
the writing was great and in the hands of a truly gifted impersonator (like Darrell Hammond at his best) this could have been really killer
but still
A tour de force at 8 minutes 40 seconds
BRAVO !
and doesn’t Keith have it coming
