Correction: with either, it is unlikely Obama wins.

It has reached a point where I can’t listen to either one of those guys. They babble and stammer like Porkey Pig and Elmer Fudd.

Technically true, but I think we can regard contingencies where McCain loses MT but still wins the election as remote.

I say 308 McCain.

I'm more optimistic: 311 McCain.

Obama could conceivably lose the Electoral College while winning the popular vote by the current 3-5 margins shown in the national opinion polls.

If that happens, the Electoral College will come under a lot of pressure.

But, they'll never get the 3/4'ths of the states needed to amend the constitution.

Well, they’ve BOTH got it wrong on Dole here in NC. That “Godless” ad was seen here and you better believe it hit home. Think of all the folks that saw it aren’t really hearing pukes like Kondrake saying it was “over the top”. Which it wasn’t, by the way. Hagan was up north somewhere at a freakin’ fundraiser put on by these Godless folks. Lay down with dogs, you’re going to get fleas!

Anyway, I was surprised to hear Barnes predict McCain. What a RINO schmuck.

I hope it hit home. The media's trying to make it look like it hurt Dole.

My take is pretty similar to yours but my guess is that McCain will take VA, too.

PA is the key — to overcome BO’s taking CO, and 2 out of 3 from NM, IA and NV from Bush’s 2004 column. Even if McCain holds VA and IA, if he loses CO, NM and NV but doesn’t take PA, he’ll come up shy at 267.
