ARTICLE SNIPPET: “There’s a renewed worry that Mexico’s drug war violence will spill over into the United States.
“We’re talking about a very specific group called Los Zetas,” FBI Special Agent Eric Vasys tells 1200 WOAI news radio. “They are a paramilitary drug trafficking group operating in Mexico who have been known to conduct some operations in the united states.
The FBI’s San Antonio field office has put out a joint assessment bulletin, warning that one of Mexico’s most brutal drug cartels is trying to regain control of the major trafficking routes. The Zetas are well known in Texas for their brutality. Vasys says the bulletin is a warning for all law enforcement.”
