My friends, it's John McCain, live from New York, just three days before the election. Aides to the Republican presidential candidate said Friday that McCain will make a detour from battleground states to appear on "Saturday Night Live," the late-night show that has been a must-watch for many during the political season.
Hosting the show this Saturday is actor Ben Affleck, a supporter of Democratic candidate Barack Obama. The musical guest is singer David Cook.

Possibly. They're looking at 2012 like Her Thighness is.
LOL!
Gipper Girl are you a plant? I am just now watching SNL and so far it has been great. No disrespect was shown to Sarah Palin (Fey) by John MCain and I thought that is was great and VERY funny.
I cannot imagine they will vote for “O”... BTW have you heard how his voice has changed to a more black speaking style the longer he has run?
Bill Barr.
The clothes thing has become a joke, I think Sarah isn’t as mad about it anymore. It’s McCain’s campaign that bought her the clothes, so basically he is still laughing at himself and his campaign.
I believe the line was, “Its been an expensive campaign.” and Fey eluded to her clothes. So it was more a jab at his campaign, that’s how I feel about the clothes jab.
I guess we will find out how Sarah felt about the skit in future interviews.
I can’t imagine that, either.
0’s cadence in speaking has become more and more of a parody of himself. (Almost like Hillary’s old changeable accent.) I heard an audio of 0 speaking in 2004 or so, and he sounded as bland as can be.
Or maybe Nader. :)
Well just listen to how bland those Obama tapes are from the 90’s and early 2000’s.
Mark my words. There will be commentary about this tomorrow as people (on MSDNC and CNN) continue to speculate about the nature of McCain's relationship with his vp choice. McCain just gave more fodder to the MSM to feed their Palin bashing addiction.
I think poking fun at stuff like the clothing issue defuses it.
No you won't. Like I said, she's the ultimate team player. If asked about the sketch, she'll smile and say it was funny. But trust me, she was not amused.
Isn't he bothered by any of Obama's associations? I guess we would have to know what attracts him to Obama before you could really mount an reasonable discussion with him.
Read the post ( Jim Geraghty @ NRO ) and do not agree with either of you.
The clothing pales in comparison to Obama spending $700K for his stage in Germany... which was just thrown away.
exactly... the correlation with the changing Hillary accent is perfect.
You know, I noticed that the other night at the end of 0bambi’s informercial. During the taped portion, he spoke in his professor-style voice tones. He sounded “white”. But when they cut at the end to his live rally in Florida, he sounded more “black”. Not jive talking like Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton. He was speaking normal English, but he sounded a lot more “black” than before.
As we get closer to the election, and his hubris grows, he feels less need to fake little things like his accent.
It was funny!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nowhere as bad as earlier Palin immitations that were downright painful to watch. I think meeting Palin softened Fey toward her. This was satire, that is what SNL does.
He was really in his black-speak today in Nevada.
