My friends, it's John McCain, live from New York, just three days before the election. Aides to the Republican presidential candidate said Friday that McCain will make a detour from battleground states to appear on "Saturday Night Live," the late-night show that has been a must-watch for many during the political season.
Hosting the show this Saturday is actor Ben Affleck, a supporter of Democratic candidate Barack Obama. The musical guest is singer David Cook.

Which is why I was stunned tonight to find the comments on the video of Obama wanting to have a civilian security service are so sane and telling the few Bots posting there to wake up before it’s too late. Looks like more than a few people may be waking up.
I missed the second song. I lost interest in the show after McCain’s part in “Weekend Update” was over. I muted the TV, lol
Possibly, but I doubt anybody will Monday. Who knows though.
The Palin portion was very respectful from all in that skit.
Even from Fey...& McCain would have raised cain & not gone along with, nor participated if he felt that Sarah or he was disrespected.
Rest assured...Those involved/depicted sure are doing just that...resting,assured.
How the hell did you come by that conclusion? He just stood there as Fey made his running mate sound like a dumb hick with an Evita complex who refuses to return to the backwoods. She was reduced to a smiling rube, and McCain played along with it. Would it be "affectionate" for him to act in a sketch portraying his wife as a pill-popping Princess Di wanna be? Because that would be the caricature of Cindy McCain. He just allowed himself to be complicit in the caricature of Sarah Palin. It was terribly stupid. I'm shocked that he would do that.
Yes indeed. Most Americans under 40 never learned history, unless it was the multicultural anti-American propaganda we've seen over the past 30 years.
Actually, when they passed each other, Sarah looked back at Tina, but Tina look at Sarah, and skedaddled outta there as fast as she could. This is all scripted, more than it appears. But I think the underlying truth is that Tina truly was a bit nervous about it. Sarah seemed completely at ease.
Our people must be out patrolling tonight.
They both want people talking about them and even laughing with them at this point in time; O had an opportunity to do this tonight and turned it down, McCain got the gig in his place... very smart... Sarah has said the only thing that bothers her is when they attack her kids.
And Tina had nothing but praise for Sarah after her SNL appearance.
I just look at him and sigh. Clueless, so damn clueless.
I managed to sit and sift through the whole thing. But I’m glad tis over.
I wondered where You were.
Thanks for filling me in!
I thought it was funny, and I am sure Sarah did too.
Sarah was standing right next to Baldwin and Fey when they made fun of her, was she validating the mockery of herself?
Interesting, I would think he would be 100% McCain then.
he WAS till a week or two ago ... I don’t know what’s happened but it’s making me CRAZY.
No offense, but have you noticed that you’re the only one on this thread that feels the way you do?
It makes me wonder about whether he really respects her after all. Maybe that article a while back which mentioned the tension between them and noted that he "shunned" and "ignored her" while they were traveling together one day because he was angry at her was true after all.
Olbermann and Maddow are getting decent ratings these days? I thought most shows on MSNBC had about a handful of viewers...
and Bambi has very thin skin, he hates being laughed at.
A fair point. I've always believed that if three people tell you you're drunk, lie down. So, perhaps I'm completely wrong. But I can't help it. That's what I'm feeling.
