My friends, it's John McCain, live from New York, just three days before the election. Aides to the Republican presidential candidate said Friday that McCain will make a detour from battleground states to appear on "Saturday Night Live," the late-night show that has been a must-watch for many during the political season.

Hosting the show this Saturday is actor Ben Affleck, a supporter of Democratic candidate Barack Obama. The musical guest is singer David Cook.

Are you certain Obama isn’t more in line with Stalin than Hitler?

Well, Stalin did kill more people than Hitler (at least directly.) They both hated Jews. They demanded blind obedience and persecuted those who questioned them.

It's a toss-up. Obama scores on all points if he wins.

“Well, Stalin did kill more people than Hitler (at least directly)”

That’s not fair. Stalin was in power for a lot longer than Hitler. Then again, it was Hitler’s fault that his reign was so short.

“I just want to know one thing. Is this mocking Palin? Because if he is a part of that, then his credibility goes way down.”

I didn’t see him mock her at all. In fact never mentioned her. It was all self-depreciating humor to which the crowd quickly warmed up to. They still hate him and us, being the hate filled LibTards that they are.

The only thing that was funny was McCain say, "I'm a true Maverick -- a Republican with no money." That was funny. As was the concept of having him appear on the home shopping network because that was all he could afford. It was a mistake to allow Fey to play Palin in the sketch. It demeaned her and made him look complicit in the mockery.

No, the pork knives was stupid. The Ayers freshener was stupid. The Joe Biden doll was mildly amusing. But the idea of McCain validating the mockery of his own running mate as a buffoon from Alaska was a very poor decision. I'm beginning to wonder if he really doesn't like her after all.

I think McCain showed that he has a lot affection and respect for Sarah Palin. Tina Fey certainly doesn’t, but we knew that already.

When Sarah was on the show with Tina Fey, they didn’t even acknowledge each other. What was that all about??

Both points true. If Hitler had remained in power for another ten years, he would have easily killed as many as Stalin.

Oh, no... he had multiple times he should have been killed. Find the video of his plane being hit by a rocket on the deck of his aircraft carrier and exploding into flames and he crawled through the flames to save some lives and held one guy with his face burned off telling him he would be okay until the guy died.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1967_USS_Forrestal_fire

http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=McCain+Forrestal+Fire&sourceid=navclient-ff&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1B3GGGL_enUS299US299&um=1&sa=X&oi=video_result_group&resnum=4&ct=title#

I see some of the left wingers are out there now trying to say he caused this explosion and fire; everything I have EVER read up until now indicate this is not true.

From Wiki on his earlier accidents:

McCain's pre-combat duty began when he was commissioned an ensign, and started two and a half years of training at Pensacola as a naval aviator.[14] While there, he earned a reputation as a partying man.[7] He completed flight school in 1960, and became a naval pilot of ground-attack aircraft, assigned to A-1 Skyraider squadrons[15] aboard the aircraft carriers USS Intrepid and USS Enterprise[16] in the Caribbean and Mediterranean Seas.[17] McCain began as a sub-par flier[17] who was at times careless and reckless;[18] during the early-to-mid 1960s, the planes he was flying crashed twice and once collided with power lines, but he received no major injuries.[18] His aviation skills improved over time,[17] and he was seen as a good pilot, albeit one who tended to "push the envelope" in his flying.[18]

Sorry, I must have misunderstood your post.

My take on this whole thing is that I hope we’ve got more perspective than the humorless Dems. NOTHING is funny to them, unless they’re making effigies of Mac and Sarah.

Hmm. On the commercial for Monday’s SNL Presidential Bash, they mention you never know who will show up. I wonder if Obama will appear.

Tina Fey is MUCH more attractive when she’s not trying to imitate Sarah. Of course, Sarah still blows her away...

Nope I agree, if you can’t make fun of yourself then something is wrong with you :).

Showing humor and humility is a sign of strength, something that one doesn’t understand...
