My friends, it's John McCain, live from New York, just three days before the election. Aides to the Republican presidential candidate said Friday that McCain will make a detour from battleground states to appear on "Saturday Night Live," the late-night show that has been a must-watch for many during the political season.
Hosting the show this Saturday is actor Ben Affleck, a supporter of Democratic candidate Barack Obama. The musical guest is singer David Cook.

You misunderstand my meaning,at times.
So why is there no skit...I just hear music.
That I can believe. Of course you still have to wonder why he is advertising in places you wouldn't expect him to.
Now you can say it's just due to his ego -- and I don't know for sure that it's not -- but it seems more likely to me that the reason is that he has more problems than some are letting on.
What, no chuckle at the 'John McCain's pork knives'?
Regarding points 2-3...*shrug* Difference of opinion I guess. IF Fey's intention was to mock her, she did a horrible job.
Never trust what the media reports, especially the AP. Remember in 2004 when Clinton was hospitalized with his heart and Bush made a comment he hoped Clinton would be well and AP reported the audience booed Clinton... didn’t happen and someone had audio that proved it didn’t happen.
McCain was awesome...finally...the man looks comfortable in his own skin...almost like he got some good internals before going on-air.
The Nation of Islam's... have you seen their Thugstapo?
As soon as someone uploads the SNL skit on youtube, NBC makes youtube take it down for copyright reasons.
You will probably have to wait until tomorrow morning and go to the official NBC SNL site.
Well, there is the AOL Straw Poll... though this week it is looking tighter than this time last week.
I thought the wardrobe poke was funny, too. I’m able to laugh at myself. That’s all some of this is. We’re better than ‘Rats like Barney Frank who was furious after SNL’s treatment of him.
People also are posting fake things with messages basically amounting to ‘you’ve been punked’ in geek-speak. They do that a lot on Youtube.......very annoying.
YouTube comments sometimes make DU look refined.
How about Nixon on Laugh-in?
I haven’t seen it yet, too early here, but the PUMA all thought it funny and they would not have laughed about it if they thought it made Sarah look bad; far from it.
Are you certain Obama isn’t more in line with Stalin than Hitler?
“You misunderstand my meaning,at times.”
I don’t know if I misunderstood you so much as I just wanted to use something as a jumping-off point to mock SNL for making fun of a fourteen year old movie. I heard way too many people yell “Run, Forrest, run” when I was growing up.
I didn’t get the feeling *at all* that (a) Sarah was being mocked in the rap, and (b) that Sarah had a hard time with it. I think she got a big kick out of it (especially the “When I say Obama, you say Ayers!” part). Overall, I thought it was very good and a lot of fun. I think she had a ball with it. Especially her “You betcha!” at the end, and her spot-on Jane Curtain signoff.
She absolutely rocked in that skit.
I'm sure Sarah's crying into her pillow as we speak.
Don't you know McCain's appearance was discussed with everyone involved? Just because Sarah wasn't there doesn't mean she wasn't consulted.
It was fine.
Exactly, that was my point...
