My friends, it's John McCain, live from New York, just three days before the election. Aides to the Republican presidential candidate said Friday that McCain will make a detour from battleground states to appear on "Saturday Night Live," the late-night show that has been a must-watch for many during the political season.
Hosting the show this Saturday is actor Ben Affleck, a supporter of Democratic candidate Barack Obama. The musical guest is singer David Cook.

I finally just saw it on youtube. I don't know what you guys are talking about. First, it was not even funny. Second, it was indeed mocking Palin. Third, McCain was there as if lending credence to this slam on his own running mate (the clothes jab, the stupid accent designed to make her look like a moron, the interrupting him, and the "diva" jab that Palin doesn't want to go back to Alaska). I am frankly shocked and disgusted. What the hell was he thinking? How do you think the Palins must feel about this?

I was very critical of Sarah Palin’s performance on SNL a couple of weeks ago, but John McCain’s appearance was good free publicity. Definitely a net plus for McCain/Palin.
Why couldn’t they have done the same pre-checking when the real Sarah went on the show??
