There is a factor to this that no one is examining, least of all the drive-bys:

for the most part, by election day, the blacks will be "voted out."

Traditionally, on election night, it is customary in most states for the more easily counted red counties to come in, build a big GOP lead (as in MI), then wait for Detroit to overwhelm it.

THAT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN IN 2008. It's just the opposite: the Dems will have a little cushion early, then chew their fingernails as the red counties start coming in. It may be the only thing that keeps us from having the drive-bys "call it all" at 8:05 EST.
