Zogby Shocker: McCain Leads Obama In Latest Poll
Newsmax ^ | November 1, 2008 | Newsmax staff

Posted on 11/01/2008 4:30:00 PM PDT by Jim W N

Dick Morris tells Newsmax that Friday night's polling for Zogby of 1,000 likely voters shows a huge shift for John McCain.

Zogby's poll, conducted on Friday night only, has McCain at 48 percent and Obama, at 47 percent.

Zogby's overall poll has Obama with a lead, but that's based on a three-day average that includes Wednesday and Thursday polling data.

"There is a seismic shift for McCain," Morris told Newsmax. "It could turn into an earthquake this weekend."

"I think a large of the credit goes to GOPTrust.com for its courageous use of the Rev. Wright ad and the many tens of thousands who have donated almost $9 million before election day," Morris said.

Yes, it is too early. Better find some wood to knock on.

And Gallup is showing Obama up by 10.

In other words, polls mean crap.

But it is nice to see that McCain has a fighting chance if for no other reason than they can’t claim the election was stolen if he isn’t that far behind in the polls.

He credits the Wright ads?

Morris must be right, because pressure from the Obama campaign has forced two networks to pull the ads. See related thread in Breaking News bar.

We need to see today’s numbers tonight. If Drudge does not tease it, it’s not good.

Could it really be true? Will 2008 be the Republican 1948?

Zogby's a assclown.

Fake polls for months showing an Obama blow out of "Reaganesque" proportions, then a last minute shift towards McCain to preserve his integrity.

Does he really think we're that stupid?

Dick Morris is one of the best in the business. THE BEST in the business was on last night with Hanity and Combover, Carl Rove who was asked about Dick Morris' predictions.

He said he thought Morris was probably right on.

Look when Gallup was conducted - in the evening when Halloween was on. Zogby is earlier in the day.

Friday’s showing is encouraging, but it’s still an uphill fight all the way through Tuesday. Need those “undecideds”, though how anyone can actually be “undecided” when the choices are so clear is beyond me. Pray, work, VOTE!!!

I don’t believe the whole concept of a “comeback”

The polls showing Obama far ahead we’re so cooked it wasn’t even funny, it was pure propaganda to depress Republican turnout, which is the ONLY way Obama had a chance to win.

I’ll take Zogby’s piece of positive propaganda and run with it.

As I’ve been saying for months, the story will be democrats with any objectivity will abandon Obama in droves on election day, or simply stay home.

That’s a one day number, but his rolling average still has Obama up, but within the margin of error.

Totally agree. The ‘mainstream’ pollsters were in the tank for O from the start. But, that could be good for our side. I just hope the O folks get cocky and decide it’s ‘in the bag’ (aka stay home/don’t vote).
