It is amazing to me how SOME of you are so eager to call someone a troll.
When I said maybe we (FR) should vet our candidates I meant that we should do all this research on people like Obama BEFORE he becomes a nominee.
Like it or not, he IS one of our (America’s) candidates. I am going to be watching and gathering information on potential candidates on both sides beginning November 5.
For those of you who gave me the benefit of doubt I thank you. Man you guys can be tough. No wonder so many people just lurk and don’t post.
I agree.
If this lady was genuinely taken aback as to where the real hate is found when she had it turned upon her, she has had no insight into just how blinded she's been by the Liberal ideology.
Hopefully she won't just pull the blinders back over her eyes now that the light has begun to get through.
FR has been around for just about a decade now, and during that time, although the screen names have changed, there have always been a fair sampling of bullies--some every bit as mean and territorial as any Liberal snake you'll find on democraticunderground or one of the other sewer forums they prowl.
The first few years of this Site I probably had a half dozen different screen names because of confrontations that led to them essentially stalking my posts and posting insults, often picking fights over issues as petty as spelling or grammar.
Of course every time you post with a recently registered screen name you have to endure what some seem to claim as their right to initiation from those who get some sense of superiority by trying to diminish the value of your contributions with names like "newbie", or suspicions of your intent with "troll". And although there certainly have been many genuine trolls (any old timers recall the many incarnations of "ash" back in the day?), it just makes us look almost as nasty as Liberals to pick each other apart because we think some post isn't as sophisticated on some level as we think it should be.
Just like kids on the school yard, some people need to try and make others feel subordinate.
The jerks, like the poor, will always be with us. That's a fact of life even among people who are like-minded in principles and values.
I find the best thing to do is try not to waste the time defending yourself to jerks.
If you limit your responses to those who are focused on the matters that this Site has been dedicated to since Jim Robinson first established it you'll find your time spent here more satisfying.
That's my 2 cents. Hope it's some encouragement to you.
FReegards. And welcome.
