“Set” or “Send” ... the way the messiah has been talking he wants to ‘set’ energy prices along with setting our thermostats. I wonder how soon there will government thermostats that have to be used where the highest temp is 65F

Just three more day's and we no longer have to put up with this foolishness of the McCain/Palin campaign. We no longer have to listen to race baiting, lies, and questions about patriotism. We no longer have see or hear that face and voice of Sarah "steal money from her state so kids can travel" Palin. We no longer have to look at Todd Palin eagerly waiting for his wife to get the VP job so he can abuse that office. Good riddens to bad rubbish!

We already have federal laws mandating the manufacture and use of 2.5 gallons-per-minute showerheads.

He hasn't been flushed out on this tax question yet. So he's just sending little smoke signals, so that later he can claim politically that people gave him a "mandate" for high energy taxes, because "we talked about it in the campaign".
Bush pulled that same stunt in the 2000 primaries, on immigration. The night he won South Carolina and blew the hinges off, and sewed up the nomination, then he informed Republicans that they'd voted for open borders.
Roorback is a political lie told for operational effect, like the story that went around once, that Abraham Lincoln had attended a lodge meeting of the Know-Nothings.
We need a nice, pithy word for this particular "campaign screw-you special".

Impossible to care for an elderly person whose circulation no longer is the same as their grandchild. They are always cold in the winter, and hot in the summer.
