We aren’t worried about Tennessee. We know where Fred Thompson came from.

OH I know but I was wondering if it looks like high turnout or not.

Davidson is a Blue area (132k-107k for Kerry)
Shelby is a Blue area (216k-158k for Kerry)

Almost every other county went to Bush, including Knox, 110k-66k.

I voted last Saturday. Bradley Co had a mock election in the school system Friday. Bradley High mostly McCain. My son said he thought Cleveland High went mostly McCain. Not sure about Walker Valley High my guess would be McCain also. If that’s any indication Bradley Co is probably McCains.

Hubby and I voted first day of early voting, we had gotten married in September and wanted to make sure I could vote, as they screwed up my voter registration change of name, got the right address, used former name. I took our marriage license with me along with my old DL and my new DL. They let me vote, signing both names on the paper work.

Then they marked my paper work for change of address/name, and a couple of days later in comes my 2nd new registration, wrong name again...hypenated the former to the new name. LOL

I'll change it after the 4th, maybe the 3rd time they will get it right.MP>I wasn't about to take any chances in not being able to vote, never know when things come up to prevent it.

My wife and I visited Cookeville, TN this week scouting for a place to retire to (in about 5 years). Osama signs outnumbered McCain signs about 60 to 40. After seeing this, we decided there was no way we could retire to an area where such a high percentage of people are stupid. I know these sign percentages are not a scientific indication of voting preference, but it was enough of an indication for us to cross Cookeville off our list.

Driving back through Chattanooga though, it was McCain signs vs. Osama signs by at least 100 to 1. We decided to put the Chattanooga area on our potential retirement list.

I will not spend my sunset years surrounded by stupid people.

Most of the south will be double digits for McCain ... NC will be a different story.

This is already above 60% of the total vote cast in TN in the 2004 election (over 1.5 million vs. 2.4 million votes in 2004).

Come to NE Tennessee (Johnson City, Kingsport, Bristol)

Nice mountains, good people, and lots of McCain/Palin signs.

I live on the Tennessee /Kentucky border, in the beautiful mountains here (Lafollette/Jacksboro area).

I voted the second day of early voting. Suddenly, today while in town, I noticed hundreds of McCain/Palin signs. Every house, every yard, everywhere had them. I saw one Obama sign someone had put where you stop at the stoplight before leaving WalMart.

We don’t have any ACORNS here (except the kind the deer eat, those that grow on trees). This area is in the bag for McCain/Palin, as is most of east Tennessee. Consider retiring over here, where taxes and real estate are cheap, and people still cling to their guns and religion.

Hubby and I went to a restaurant tonight, and they had TVs on with an OBAMA speech. Every patron was discussing, shaking their heads about him, grumbling.
