Is Dole running as a Conservative?
To: stocksthatgoup
She has been a disappointment, I early voted for her only since we need the seat.

So now I guess it is politically incorrect to smash a God less organization, but still open season by the left on Christians? Simply, liberals do not practice the so called tolerance they preach. Never have, never will. They are simply liars, thugs, cheats, thieves, fags, God less creatures slithering along the ground.

Here’s a thought...we keep hearing about how there are so many first time black voters who are jazzed up about electing Obama. You have to wonder how many will merely check off BO’s name and call it a day, leaving the downticket races blank?

Why would a Democrat candidate object to being called Godless?

Don't know. Since they all don't believe in God anyway, I would think they would embrace being called God less. I see them as child murdering scum anyway. The first thing that comes to my mind when I hear someone say they are a dimocrat is that they support the murder of unborn children, then the cheating, lying, thugs, socialist, communist, Marxist stuff come in. But murdering thugs of unborn children is my first thought. FOR THAT ONE REASON, I do not have any friends that call themselves dimocrats. I don't want any. I refuse to vote for my own first cousin, who grew up in the same house with me like a brother, when reelection time comes for him. He is the county sheriff. I told him I would never vote for him as long as he was a dimocrat. I told him his party's support of child murder was the reason, and I found it hard to see how he could arrest people for murder when they turned their eyes on abortion doctors.

According to some polling I saw a few weeks ago Dole was at one point up 10% until her vote on the bailout bill and she has lost ground ever sense.
This may be one of the issues that hasn't gotten enough coverage, the anger of the voters on the Bailout Bill especially now that we have seen the whole thing implode as to how the Banks, etc. are using the money and not going by the original plan of the Gov. buying the toxic assets.

I live in NC too and what isn’t being said is the radio ad has been running for months of Hagan attending the fundraiser. Hagan’s response then was that even John Kerry was there. Only when Dole stepped it up to TV did Hagan through a fit. She did receive money from the leader of this godless organization and it was first reported as 35,000 from the organization itself and not just 2300. Schumer from NY has dumped 1 million for each: Hagan in NC, KY Dem against Mitch and in VA to replace Warner who is retiring. Hagan did nothing in the NC senate and NC still lost more jobs and she is against off shore drilling or clean coal technology. I voted early for Dole to make sure she wins. I also saw her at the rally in Elon for Palin. She is an honorable woman who took the advise of her constituents and hit Hagan where she lives...accept donations from anyone and promise anything to win. Dole would have never attended such a fund raiser let alone accept any of their godless money.

How is the U.S. not in serious, long-term trouble if even Elizabeth Dole is at serious risk at losing her U.S. Senate seat? How does “U.S. conservatism”, at each and every level, successfully recover from a possible big win by leftists at every political level all over the U.S.? Leftists in control of everything important are very dangerous, and they could even agree to postpone any future elections in ‘10, ‘12, and beyond while making up all kinds of excuses as to why any future elections should be postponed! There already are too many ignorant voters and too many stupid voters, who will vote for their own destruction (not even knowing that is what they are voting for) along with also voting for the entire country’s destruction! What a “mess” that’s really coming everybody’s way, no matter who the next POTUS is!

Weird that there would be a backlash. Jesse Helms did this all the time and he won comfortably (though in single digits) during the 90’s.

the press and even some Republicans who said Dole went too far Well there you have it - when Republicans express "outrage", you know it's over.
Time to go back to Red Cross, Liz.

I saw her response to Dole's ad on TV ... she was telling everyone how she was a Sunday School teacher, yada yada.

How is the U.S. not in serious, long-term trouble if even Elizabeth Dole is at serious risk at losing her U.S. Senate seat? Well, that's the problem. When Republicans don't convey conservatism and stand their ground, they get beaten. Dole is one of the most moderate Republicans in the Senate, and the Dems are going after her hard. They went after Lincoln Chaffee's seat in RI and won that too. You can't appease or "reach out" to these people. Maybe if Dole wouldn't be as bland as her husband, she'd be ahead.
